OfflineI'd like to thank Regan and Vinnie from APART of WA as well as Bert at NWPIA for allowing Jim and me to tag along as they investigated Wellington this past weekend. Here's what I will say about Wellington (you can read my blog for the history of the location and our experience there) – Jim told me that if any place would ever make a believer of him, it would be Wellington. That says a lot, don't you think?

What an amazing account of your time and experiences there Karen. I was fascinated reading it. And, yes, it does say a lot!

Wow! Whast great account and interesting review. The pics are awesome. too.
Sounds like you, Jim, Regan, Vinnie, and children had a great time.
I would like to visit there sometime, if a location has the possiblity to make one a believer, interested.
Karen, the ponytail incident with Regan that you observed what do you think about it now?
Thanks for sharing, sounds like a wonderful time and experience!
Really enjoyed the history, also!

I think Regan is extremely credible and not given to flights of fancy. She has been doing this a long time. I'm actually more inclined to trust her personal experiences than mine because she is so experienced with investigation. Hopefully she'll pop down and tell you what she thought of it. Strange things happened in that place. Especially around those benches. I have hours of stuff to review, but have reviewed a few hours of it so far and posted sort of interesting anomalies. I find one particularly impressive. Here is the audio I have so far.
OfflineI didn't feel anything out of the ordinary myself, but I was pretty focused on walking down a dark tunnel without tripping and landing on my brand-new HD camcorder. I would've been hard pressed to notice anything short of a hard slap to the noggin.
I work around high voltage lines (half a million volts), and those will make pretty much anybody a little uneasy. They crackle the air around them, so I'm probably a little numb when it comes to creepy feelings. I did find it odd that Regan (who I expect to pick up on things) and Karen (never seen her pick up anything psychic) both freaked out a little at the same exact spot at two completely different times. Not exactly ironclad proof, but it certainly got my attention. I really want to get down in the ravine where the train cars came to rest.
OfflineWell – there are just a few of all of those audio clips that I haven't been able to rule out. Most of the whispers are gone because they can be attributed to other things. Here are the clips I haven't completely ruled out yet:
Okay – whispered – although the fact that it is a whisper has me wondering. I didn't have the hi def recorder running at the time, so no hi-def basis of comparison, although it was on the best Olympus that records in stereo with detachable mike. Still – the fact that is a whisper makes it a tough one for me.
Mmmhmmm….Bobby….Hi. This one is the most mystifying to me because I have it on hi def and low def and we've ruled out every explanation that we can think of. I'm still waiting for others. The side-by-side hi def and low def recordings of this, as well we the conditions under which it was recorded can be found here. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this recording especially.
Thanks!

Karen, after listening to all of the clips, I agree that Mmmhmmm Bobby is the most interesting. I'm not sure about the Hi part of it, but the Mmmhmmm Bobby is very cool!
Thanks for sharing your findings with us.

I listened the other day and listened again.
It's me…. just me is very clear. I think it almost sounds adult like in tone.
The Okay is creepy and strange at the same time. I seemed to hear Okay whispered right before a female says Okay.
Mmmhmm….Bobby….Hi. Listened quite a few times, only hearing Bobby…..hi.
The tonal sound is strange to me. Has a high pitch sound. Similar to evp's I hear on GH. Not a normal sounding living person's voice to me.
That's what I find interesting.
Thanks for sharing, people like me live through others investigations.
It's like we went!

You guys thinking about going back? I have never had an experience, so if I saw Regan's ponytail incident, I probably would have been disturbed, followed by being very excited. Maybe the "spot" has something to it. Were any of the EVP's from the spot?
Is the ravine possible to get to, or was it a time thing?

Oh yeah, we're definitely going back this summer. The ravine is only difficult if you dive into it from the ledge the trains ran on (where the snow shed sits now. The rail lines have been moved down the pass to a much lower but much longer new tunnel. I also want to dive into the tunnel that the passengers wanted to use for shelter during the blizzard that preceded the avalanche.
Most of the EVP work was done either on or near that bench. It was pretty "active" during the evening, and we were told that it got "crazy" later, after we had left.

Yep. I finally refused to sit on that bench. Period. There was just too much going on there every time I sat there. It is also the bench where APART took this picture several months ago:
We are going down to the wreckage when we go back, and we will definitely spend more time there after dark. I just need a few more weeks to get up the guts to walk across that bridge again.
