Hi:

Some of you may recall that we started filming a documentary at Wellington last summer. Wellington is the subject of my book Avalanche of Spirits: The Ghosts of Wellington, but that it didn't work out. I've edited some of the original documentary footage together into a three part videocast series. You can see part 1 – history here. Enjoy, and if you find it as fascinating as we do, help us spread the word by referring people to our video so that others will know about this amazing location.

My wife and I were talking of visiting Wellington (we love visiting museums and historical sites together), and then I saw your posts and it's on my must see list before I PCS to Germany in February. How far is it from Tacoma?

FalseMotivation: you're probably looking at about two and a half to three hours I think – but it would be awfully difficult to get to the site before Feb. due to the snow. It is pretty high up there!

Yea, was looking at that Tom…I do have 4WD and snow chains though ;P My wife used to attend CWU so driving Snoqualmie pass was a regular for us….dunno if I'm up for a drive like that now though hmm…would definitely be worth it.

I'd do it soon. Snow's coming. Let me know how you enjoy your visit.

Thanks so much!
