Upcoming investigation in Waco, Texas. We are traveling to a private residence to help out a client with some potential paranormal activity. The history and the reported activity is being kept a secret from the rest of the group since I am performing an experiment on the group to see if the results are any different if they go in cold instead of hot.

This will be the third whole group investigation that we've done. It has been fun and we keep training new investigators to help out with scheduling conflicts that we have.

Results from previous investigations:

Jan 09- Private residence in suburb of Waco- All paranormal activity was debunked, nothing found.

Mar 09- Private residence in the town of West, Texas- potential paranormal activity was found.

More to come.

Some of the group isn't happy about going in cold, the others think it's a cool idea.

After this I have Myrtles Plantation, then a few more residences. I'm trying to get us access to one of the local hospital's ER in the old building they were in before they built a new one and moved out. I figure this would be a cool one to do, just to see if we get anything.

Awesome Ryan!

I can't wait to hear about Myrtles. We'll need an article on that one. LOL

That will all depend on how well my fingers can type after getting stuff scared out of me. /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Seriously! The only places around here want $$$$ to go in and investigate. I have had a lot of trouble finding investigations for my groups. If anyone has any suggestions, it might make a good thread…

I think that investigating cold is the way to go. It would keep it legitimate and unbiased. (Not to mention, I would rather not know about a 7ft elemental ahead of time or I might chicken out…LOL!!)

We almost always go in cold. It's one way to remove the power of suggestion from the equation.

I like this approach, because suggestibility certainly plays a huge role in paranormal investigation otherwise.

I'd like to try both ways once I finallly get a chance to start investigating … just to see how the different approaches work out.

I'm excited. The investigation is tonight and I can't wait to start. I'll post some preliminary findings tomorrow if I can stay awake. So far we should have 3-5 investigators there tonight and they still are going in cold. One of the little inventions that I made probably won't make it there but we should still be set for everything that I want to do.

Well, it didn't last very long. One investigator had to cancel and a couple of others couldn't make it. So we investigated with just two people. Luckily the house was small so set-up was easy. Also the home owners felt inclined to stay close and go about their personal business. I couldn't complain since it is their house. I suggested that next time we come in when they are gone for the weekend and just set equipment up and leave it alone and see if we get better results. I'm going to start reviewing evidence tomorrow and see what we got.

short investigation = less data to review. Yay!

Nothing found. The audio was too contaminated to use. There is one video clip that is cool but I know for a fact it was the reflection of someone that was in the house so it's not paranormal. Of course I could pull a TAPS stunt and say it was paranormal but that's not me. All of the pictures were empty, not even a dust orb.

So now I'm preparing for Myrtles.

I think Ryan needs one of Marshall Dudley's Spirit Mikes.

Get it while you can, because Robb Demarest from GHI has been looking at it, and they may use it in the show. If they do, they may be hard to get. I know Marshall personally, and I have listened to the EVP's produced by this product, so I think it is a legitimate piece of Ghost Hunting hardware.
