So, starting tomorrow night, June 23, Cheryl, her son and daughter, and I will be spending 2 nights at the famous Queen Mary Hotel. For those who are familiar with the site, we stayed there last August. We really enjoyed the age and beauty of the old ship, and when the opportunity presented itself to stay once again, we jumped.

Cheryl has been in contact with their media relations person, and in addition to some tickets to a few of their paranormal tours, and the possibility of staying in a haunted room (we did request it), I am hoping they will let us film as well. They usually don't allow filming on the paranormal tours, but I would love to try out our new shoulder mounted Hi-def camcorder, and give everyone a view of areas that are normally off limits to many guests.

We are testing out equipment in preparation for the Waverly trip. We got a R0DE Shotgun Mic. complete with boom pole. I am even trying out the IR Illuminator from Phantom Lites. It fits nicely atop the HD camcorder.

Truth be told, I really enjoy staying at the Queen Mary, haunted or not, and I would stay there even if I did not believe in ghosts. I recommend it to everyone, as it is a once in a lifetime experience.

I'm surprised they didn't mention that they were in negotiations to stop a paranormal boycott of the QM organized by Bob at Planet Paranormal. Apparently after queen-con last month some of the convention goers were treated extremely rudely by staff, prompting this boycott movement. Apparently it was a success, as their facebook page just today reported that after negotiations with management, paranormal investigators will be getting full access to the ship (organized, of course, along the lines of Waverly and other such venues that handle group investigations). This is pretty good news, and it means that access should be granted in the same fashion as Waverly. Get enough serious people together, split the cost, and do some real investigating on site in previously restricted areas. No more getting stuck with drunk know-it-alls that complain to security because you are using flash photography (my experience during the psience fair last year) as security herds you through areas with no time to conduct any true investigation.

I'm excited, and hopefully this policy shift will be afforded to you guys on your next trip. I am jealous, that ship just affects me. I could spend a week, nonstop, and still not feel like I did her justice.

Andy

B340 I believe…

I am so jealous. If I lived there and only had to take care of myself I would practically live on that ship. Never have I felt so much discarnate energy in one place. It has soaked into the teak and mahogany. I know, that is a very subjective statement for me, I agree, but still…

Andy

I felt the same way, Andy, when I stayed there for our investigation. It is an awesome ship!

After what happened to me both nights Im going with haunted…….*shivers*

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

(1) eat less,

(2) don’t ask for money all the time,

(3) are easier to train,

(4) normally come when called,

(5) never ask to drive the car,

(6) don’t smoke or drink,

(7) don’t want to wear your clothes,

(8) don’t have to buy the latest fashions,

(9) don’t need a gazillion dollars for college and

(10) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ..
