My group is heading to this place in October. We were supposed to go next week but the place was booked already. This will be the biggest place we have investigated. We are going full out. We'll have five static cams running along with the two portable camcorders. We'll also have at least 4 DARs running. I'm expecting about ten members to be there. We will be sending in one large group of about 5 at a time. The rest will be in the command post outside.

The place is three stories and also has a basement. The two upper floors are dorm style rooms while the first floor is a foyer, dining area, kitchen area and then some smaller bedrooms and meeting rooms. The place is old, it used to be a college back in the late 1800s before the college moved to another city. Not only that but there has been about four movies filmed out there. Nothing major but still it's a strange place. The last one filmed was a zombie- cowboy flick, I think it was called the Quick and the Undead (2005).

My family has had multiple family reunions out there, that's the only reason I know of the place. I've only been there once and it's an awesome place.

Our group is going in totally cold. No one knows of the activity or stories there. Also we should have some new folks training with us. It's been so long since we've had an investigation that I've been itching for months to find a place. I thought I had a place lined up already but the paranormal stories of that place ended up being false. It was an old county jail a little south of where I live.

I'll post more when everything gets set. Plus I'll post whatever evidence we collect.

I love the thought of cold investigation. I often wonder how much activity people "experience" comes from expectation.

Enjoy the investigation!

Oh, we'll take plenty of pictures. I always bring dozens of batteries for that.

Anyone ever notice how times slows down when you have something planned that you really really want to do.

I think that's in line with the 'watched pot never boils' theory and the 'watched printer never prints' 21st century update. Annoying, isn't it?

Eh, I got nothin'

Investigation is over. We got home about 3:15. It was an awesome place and they also let us investigate the old school building as well. So we had two buildings to cover now. Then we only had 5 investigators show up. Internet was non-existent out there and no one had any bars on their cell phone.

No one reported any personal experiences. I do have one picture that is odd that I can't explain. I'll post that later. Now it's on to evidence review of all the camcorders, DVRs and DARs now. Yay me….

When I'm done I'll see what I can do about writing an article for the mag.
