I like the youngins coming on here (regular forum) too. Being in the education field, a lot of these kids get insulted when things are "babied down" for them. They want to be seen as having valid thoughts and opinions. My two cents?? Let them join the "big kids" at the paranormal table; they might surprise the snot out of a lot of us /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I know my 16 y.o. son would jump at the possibility of going on a real investigation. I think it's a great idea, but in the back of my mind a danger flag pops up. The group would need to make sure that an adult and a teen, that are not related, are allowed to be left alone. If the teen was to accuse the adult of some inappropriate action/activity it could be a very bad situation. You might want to look at the Boy Scouts of America's Youth Protection rules for a set of guidelines to avoid a potential pitfall. In case you are wondering the Boy Scouts have been allowing girls to join for several years so the rules do take into consideration all gender combination's.

Actually, not a bad point at all.

Also, you'd have to retain the right to kick any member out, at your discretion. It's imperative that you retain that right. With teens today, the amount of trouble they could get into in a situation like this would be astronomical. Maybe you could set up a parent/child type of thing. Mom and son, daughter and dad..etc. You know, make sure that the child has proper supervision and who better to do that then a parent? I dunno, just a suggestion.

All in all, not bad idea. I'd have loved something like this when I was a teen.

I've been asked by my sister (who is the researcher on the team) to think about starting up a junior group for teenagers. I thought about it for a bit and thought it was a great idea. There would have to be rules like the group would only be able to investigate certain locations. My sister's house where we are doing multiple investigations comes to mind. Her son is already a junior investigator and has investigated with us several times (including the Myrtles Plantation) and he does a good job. Apparently there are a few other teenagers that want to investigate with us. Of course we will do all the legal stuff like parent consent and property owners consent.

This will give us a minor league that we can pull up from when we are short investigators. Especially when they come of age and go to all locations. They will be trained already and familiar with our protocols and equipment.

	So what does everyone think?

And if this takes off do we need a junior section here in the forums?

	Hey Ryan:

In this month's issue of PUG, I reviewed a ghost hunting book for teens called The Other Side by Marley Gibson, Patrick Burns and Dave Schraeder. I think it is a fantastic resource for a teen ghost hunting group.
