Yes, I know when Phenomenology102 will be investigating the hotel. I set it up. It isn't when you will be staying with us. They are doing it over a 4-night period and they have all the suites booked.

I believe you are staying in the Inn and Buford Suites? Both are active – especially the Buford. There is a Confederate soldier who has been seen by many guests on the staircase there. He has also been heard by many guests walking up and down the stairs in the middle of the night. The Inn is an original Civil War building. The original owner of the hotel had his mom living in the Inn and she died in the first floor bedroom. There is a child who has been seen playing in the living room of the Inn. In addition, there was a cemetery that used to sit alongside the Inn.

There is also a rumor that one of the Confederate generals had a nervous breakdown on Day One and he was hidden in the basement of the Inn away from the men and until they could get him under control. I have an idea who that might have been.

It just keeps getting better and better.

We'll talk soon.

Happy New Year!

GB, Would another enthusiast be allowed to observe your investigations? I've got a bug up my butt to get to Gettysburg in the near future!

GB, Would another enthusiast be allowed to observe your investigations? I've got a bug up my butt to get to Gettysburg in the near future!

Now here is a question that I have been asked before, although I can’t imagine why someone would want to hang out with us. I also find myself trying to explain without offending people. Keeping in mind that the requests come from someone I don’t know at all and they don’t understand that I classify an investigation differently than almost everyone else these days which irks some people for some unknown reason. Right now I only have 2 investigations going. One began in Sept and the other in Oct ’09. My investigations take a long time and would bore people to tears.

As a rule I don’t take people on an actual investigation for many reasons. I don’t even take all the group on every case either. I know it sounds weird but I am old school and a believer that too many cooks spoils the broth. Also there is the clients privacy to consider not to mention the coordinating with an observer on when and where would be the best time etc. Just too much of a hassle for all parties.

However, I have no problem explaining how I work and there are always exceptions to the rule. One would be that a person could bring a special skill that would be an asset to an investigation, at which point they would become part of the investigation. Another which we have done, was allow an observer at the clients request. As far as us going to Carolyn’s hotel. That would be what I call a paranormal examination not investigation. Just a little more involved than a ghost hunt but along the same lines but nowhere near as involved or as long as a formal investigation. More of an information gathering type visit. We will be doing the same in the suites we are staying in too. We specifically picked the rooms.

We go to Gettysburg ever year as sort of a mini vacation not Ghost Hunting. This year will be the first that the whole group will be going together and what better place to stay than somewhere purported to be haunted. If you are in the Gettysburg area the same weekend we could meet up. Now, if you should happen to stay in Gettysburg over the same weekend and stay at Carolyn’s hotel (the last weekend of the big savings) then I have no problem with you hanging out with us at the examination, provided you get Carolyn’s permission. Other than that, we will be there Fri, Sat & leave on Sun. Our set schedule is, we are booked for a portrait sitting on Sat afternoon and Carolyn’s Hotel on Sat night but most of Fri is open the remainder of Sat and we don’t leave until around noon on Sun, if you can only come up for the day.

So if you are serious and want to meet up in March then you can PM me here. We have plenty of time to set something up but if you want to stay at Carolyn’s Hotel you might want to book now.

LOL! That would be "Carolyn's" hotel!

I've already pm'd Teresa. I'll check when I get into work on Saturday to see what I have available for her. I would like to get her and the Big Wolf into one of our more active rooms. And, if she can get to Gettysburg early on Friday, I can give her a tour of the battlefield. It is important to remember that there were approximately 52,000 casualties over a three-day battle. Young men and boys, from both sides, died in horrific ways. Many of their bodies never were found and still stay buried in unmarked graves. So, I'd be happy to show Teresa what makes Gettysburg such a special place. And, if she has a paranormal experience while staying at the hotel, that would be the icing on the cake!

Carolyn

I can be such a DUH! sometimes. I apologize. I was talking to a friend on the phone named Carolyn at the time of the writing. I guess I thought I was talking to Carolyn so I must be writing to Cheryl… I'll get it right one of these days. LOL I'll fix it.
