Andy-You won't (ok you will) believe this, but my fellow geek on our crew built a light weight full torso harness that accomplishes the same, and frees your arms up. I'll try to get a pic and post.

Pretty sweet set up. How comfortable is it after a few hours?

Yeah, it sucks....and that was just with the sony and h2 attached. This is considerably heavier and will suck that much more. But it is stable, and the video is not jerky, so it's a small price to pay for good data. My forearms are going to be soooooo sore the next day, lol....they were bad before after long investigation, but hey, maybe I will burn a calorie or three...

Myhusband had this idea of making a battery converter that he has (that converts a car battery to AC power) mobile so that I wouldn't have to worry about batteries dying. This shoulder rig has everything (except audio recorder mount, this will be remedied next week), and aligns thermal and niteshot optically so if I get a hit on one, hopefully it will correlate on the other. Also on this beast is two infrared illuminators based off the CHG design.

I know, I know, this will make regular people cringe, and even some paranormal investigators do a double take and crank out the Egon jokes, but I am serious about having everything together....
