After the Queen Mary, I got frustrated with the fact that I only had a limited amount of hands and juggling equipment was frustrating, so my solution:Thermal/DVR/Nightshot/(soon to be audio dock as well) all-in-one…

This shoulder rig has everything (except audio recorder mount, this will be remedied next week), and aligns thermal and niteshot optically so if I get a hit on one, hopefully it will correlate on the other. Also on this beast is two infrared illuminators based off the CHG design.

I know, I know, this will make regular people cringe, and even some paranormal investigators do a double take and crank out the Egon jokes, but I am serious about having everything together….

Andy

I can't wait to see this in action. Myhusband had this idea of making a battery converter that he has (that converts a car battery to AC power) mobile so that I wouldn't have to worry about batteries dying. I told him that there was no way I could get that through security.

Eh, I got nothin'

Pretty sweet set up. How comfortable is it after a few hours?

Yeah, it sucks….and that was just with the sony and h2 attached. This is considerably heavier and will suck that much more. But it is stable, and the video is not jerky, so it's a small price to pay for good data. My forearms are going to be soooooo sore the next day, lol….they were bad before after long investigation, but hey, maybe I will burn a calorie or three…

If you could add a small soda machine on it too, that would be awesome! /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Andy-You won't (ok you will) believe this, but my fellow geek on our crew built a light weight full torso harness that accomplishes the same, and frees your arms up. I'll try to get a pic and post.

That looks oh so cool and oh so freaking heavy at the same time. Looks very useful and at the same time would make me scared Id fall over lol! I call it a win though, very ingenious.

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

(1) eat less,

(2) don’t ask for money all the time,

(3) are easier to train,

(4) normally come when called,

(5) never ask to drive the car,

(6) don’t smoke or drink,

(7) don’t want to wear your clothes,

(8) don’t have to buy the latest fashions,

(9) don’t need a gazillion dollars for college and

(10) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ..
