Yes, its crude and maybe not the greatest, but the technology is out there, and should not involve bulky miners helmets, and huge cameras…just saying….

Granted this one is not good for night investigations, but could maybe work in a room with lots of IR light…(take out the dark lenses of course)

Not a bad idea for someone to add to their equipment list if they can afford it.

Besides, any seasoned ghost hunter or investigator knows that 90% or more of all sightings/experiences occur during daylight or at night with lights on. Only a small percentage of experiences are witnessed in total darkness and the ones that are cannot be positively identified as a paranormal experience because the people can't see well in the dark.

So, these actually are a more practical buy than an expensive night vision camera or IR set up. Thanks for the idea.

No problem, just channel surfing and came across QVC, and they were doing a demo on this, looked like a decent buy for the buck. Video was easily uploaded, and looked like you did not have to worry about protruding wires and things like that….

Must have been a onetime deal. I can't find them anywhere on their site. Too bad, sounds interesting.

It will help if you wreck, that is if they are ANSI approved.

Even if you wreck I don't think they'd do alot of good unless the

video of it could be sold. Then the residuals could cover medical

expenses.

They're much less expensive on Ebay, with more built-in memory. Even with shipping it comes to only about half of QVC's price.

Makes it harder to walk around in the dark… lol

I've actually been researching a hands-free way to record your investigation without having a video camera strapped to a helmet or anything. I think I've narrowed it down and have a pretty cool setup. Of course the problem I've had, if you've looked at prices of this stuff, is SD DVRs are quite expensive – $100+. Ultimately I want an IR light with a camera and a record function. Not so much to capture evidence but rather to document locations of investigators and such. But if they quality of the cam is good enough it may capture credible evidence. And hey, you could potentially film your whole investigation and make a dvd.

They're shipping from Hong Kong, and I'm supposed to receive them in 8-15 days. I'll let you know. I'm curious to see if they're at all sensitive to IR light, and how they do in lower light in general. At this price I don't expect miracles.
