OfflineI'm wondering what your thoughts are on spirit photography. How useful is it? What is the best way to catch a spirit in a photo? What kind of camera and/or accessories do you use? What kind of lighting? Do you use IR, full spectrum, or visible spectrum?
Spirit photography is a hit or miss type thing unless you are a modern Mumler. Anything is fine.
You have to remember that ghost hunts, investigations or whatever you want to call them all stem from reports of personal experiences where someone saw something with the naked eye and had no equipment at all.
Your best bet is a camera with NO flash or external light source. People’s eyes don’t use flash, IR, full spectrum and that is what sees what is initially reported. Get yourself a monopod to steady the camera to cut down or eliminate camera shake and blurry photos. That is the best place to start.
Take things slow. Simplicity and logic is the best place to start and will never steer you wrong. There is always time to get complicated and sophisticated later. JMO but it works for me.
