I am an old Raudive student. Keep us updated on your progress. I am very interested in how it will work in it's simplicity compared to the stuff people are making these days.

Now I will have to dig out "Breakthrough" and his recordings, now that you have refreshed my curiosity.

Ahhh ghost box recordings. This is an area that I must tread carefully. I think the problem is that of perception, as this is yet another method of ITC that is trying to be brought mainstream as a legitimate data channel/source for paranormal events and activity. ITC research often uses the very chaotic data that we try to filter out during objective research sessions. Audio ITC methods such as ghost boxes, raudive diodes, allophone generators, etc... all use chaotic data as a source for raw audio. The school of thought here is that an intelligent energy can manipulate the raw audio stream into messages. For video ITC the chaos is still present, in the form of a Schreiber feedback loop. This method creates an infinite video loop, and images appear in certain frames of the edge of the picture.

The problem with all of this as being presented as an objective data stream is the various degrees or susceptibility to pareidolia or apophenia, or the more chic term "matrixing". Since the raw data source often contains elements that have natural traits that can be mistaken for paranormal ones, it creates doubt about message validity. The best a person can do when doing these types of recordings is to implement session controls, such as "can you see me?" "what color shirt am I wearing?" "what am I holding in my left hand?" "what is my first and last name?" and so on.

At this time since such methods are such a playground for pareidolia, I don't believe that they can be included as objective data. Having said that, I am a true believer that these devices work. My curiosity of the ghost box phenomenon outlasted my skepticism, so I dove headfirst into the mix. Had my first session not been so incredible (my first and middle names mentioned together when I asked for my name, the box also accurately identified by name immediately when I asked whose room I was conducting the session in) I would have likely scoffed at the idea and it would have died right there for me. I continue to have success in my ghost box recordings, yet I am crucified by members of the paranormal community for it. I am fully aware of the favorable conditions for matrixing, but I also use a very helpful tool when conducting my sessions. It's called common sense, and if you can't implement it, you don't need to try this type of communication.

So what is the theory behind ghost box operation? Seems silly doesn't it? That an entity would have precognition enough to know what radio station would be saying what words ahead of time to make out the message that he/she/it wishes to convey? Seems absurd, and I don't know how it works, I just know that it does (and that is my belief, if you seek your own proof I urge you to set aside bias and try it yourself). Perhaps it is some sort of latent pk factor from the operator that drives the messages. That certainly would explain a great deal. Also the operator's mood affects the sessions, that is to say that if the operator has an open mind with the intent to communicate, sessions are more fruitful. If an operator enters the session with negativity, then either it will attract negative messages or stifle all communication. This seems to be a common theme amongst all ITC methods, and sometimes is present as well when recording for traditional evp. Intent and mindset of the operator is key in the session's success or failure.

It used to drive me bonkers that I could not understand the mechanism involved in ghost box communication. When I recognized that it did work by some mysterious way (again, my personal proof, go out and try it yourself...your mileage may vary) and just accepted it, and didn't worry so much about how it worked, I noticed that my sessions became more productive. I know that it seems counterintuitive, but that is just the way that it worked for me. I do the best I can to add validity to my sessions by imposing the above mentioned control protocols but in the end, at least for now, this type of research and communication must be relegated to the realm of subjective experimentation.

	regards
