Some groups that I found from another forum were using ParaDB, but it doesn't sound like it's Windows friendly. I don't know for sure since I've never used it. They do mention that it has to be on a web server to work. Another one I keep seeing mentioned is Microsoft One Note. I haven't tried this one either so I don't know what to tell you about it.

Good luck and if you do find or create something be sure to share it with us.

I understand that they are using a free program but they all have that "tabbed" look to them so I was just curious why someone didn't try a new look. What was the name of the program and where can I download a copy at?

I've only tried a few. The ones I've played with had some features that I've liked while each having something that I really would have liked put in. The best one that I played with was from someone here on the forum. I tried out his version and responded back with what it was missing. I haven't played with it in some time mainly because I've found that databases just don't work for me. My organization of information just doesn't fit into a database and I can't picture what I would need to really want to use one.

As for why they seem so familiar to each other, most of them from who I've talked to use the same basic program that is free. Aside from that no clue.

So I've just officially completed testing every paranormal logging database that I could find, based on a list that I found on APART of WA's website (Paranormal Reporting Programs), and my question is why are they all the same? Aside from a few more fields they are all built with the same tabbed structure in mind. Why? Is it because the tabbed structure is the easiest to navigate? Or is it because the developer's are playing it safe? Sound off!

While we're on the topic, what features would you like to see if a new paranormal reporting database were created?
