I got and tested my new piece of equipment. It is a simple endoscope that records what it sees.

We will use it on our next examination for the house with the sealed room.

Here are a couple photos of it. Very simple, works well and has several practical uses for Paranormal Examinations.

I love it. Perfect for places with sealed rooms that refuse to allow access (St. James Hotel). They won't even allow the door to be opened for photography.

That's actually a very good idea for a room that has noises coming from it with the door closed. You can surreptitiously use the endoscope under the door and see what's going on.

I like it.

Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try.

Since they also claim that they feel there is a child and they have found children's items in the undesirables room. I thought I would use another simple item. I notice many people use balls and other things that are easy to move.

So I got a small Pin Art toy and will put that in the room to see if it attracts any interest.

My daughter has one of those and she loves it. Most kids do.

However, if you're dealing with kids from long past time periods, they may not know what to do with something like that. Just something to consider.

Actually that is one of the reasons I picked it.

I thought it should be unusual to a child of yesteryear and hopefully will entice a child to explore it. I just thought it was such a simple idea and I would think even a slight manipulation or touch will show on the pins. I will leave it alone with a camera trained on it and see if anything happens. Just something new for me and I figured what have I got to lose.

Does anyone else want this just to see into those places we're not allowed to look into? I'm not saying start poking it under hotel room doors or occupied houses, lol, but those sealed doors and other unoccupied areas just to see what's there. This would be a fun toy to have.

I write books. I take pictures.

I got it for a specific use at the request of the owner of the house with the sealed room. However, it is a cool toy. I still don't understand why some people want to look into places a living human wouldn't go but there are other applications like looking into attics without crawling into the small openings or looking into crawl spaces where you can't fit. Looking into walls for critters making the noises people think are ghosts is also something this is good for. There are other practical uses too and it allows you to look with very little damage if any at all.

This is the room we want to look into…

How far does it see?

Like any normal camera to infinity and as close as a few inches. You can get one that isn't recordable on eBay for about $100. It is real simple to use. (which is good for me) and works well.

You can also get up to 2 – 3ft extensions (9ft reach) if you wanted to get real close up to something in an inaccessible area. Otherwise it will see the whole room as is.

It does have led lights in the tip so you can see in the dark but it only can see about 5 feet from the tip in total darkness.

Kim – I'm excited you are going to try the pin art thing. I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes!

I thought it might be an easy and interesting experiment.

The photo above is of a small plastic one my kids have. I purchased a larger metal pin one on eBay for the experiment. The pins on the metal one are thinner and move easier.

I will also take and print out a photo of it in use and leave it with the toy. Like BornAware said. Although it is simple, a child from the distant past might not readly know what to do with it. Got to cover as many bases as I can.

One of the things that I carry is a sealed container of sugar. During setup I'll shake it to level the sugar and leave it in a room and invite any ghosts to draw or leave a sign in it. I can set up a webcam for that and record.

I do like the idea of the endoscope being used, just want to make sure it's new or thoroughly cleaned if used.

I'll just use mine for looking into rooms, etc. I'll let the plumbers dirty theirs up for the other things… LOL

Our examination is next weekend on the 8th. I totally expect it to be empty but will post it either way.

The house with the secret room examination is only a few days away.

One interesting note came up today.

The property sits on top of a limestone cavern.

Maybe there is something to the limestone theory???

So how did the investigation go?

Did the endoscope do the job?

I found a place that I would like to have one of those things to look into. Mainly to settle my curiosity.

The examination went smoothly with only 2 personal experiences. The endoscope worked fine but had disappointing results. The room was only an old oven.

Here are a couple pictures of the hole and oven.

I think as I get more information I wiil post this under Paranormal Investigations even though it is only an examination thus far.
