I have this idea for a new tool which I have no capability to build, however it has spawned some other ideas which I will look into. And here it is. A forward looking electron proton neutron cam. Yes crazy but imagine being able to see an entire rooms electrons and so on in video. Perhaps be able to see a spirit manipulate these base energies and us see it. Like a video emf detector. Oh the cost of something like this brings me back down to reality though.

That sounds very interesting Parachasers! I bet some day it will be a reality.

That reminds me of a science fiction book I read once about a camera that created wormholes and could look through the wormhole into history and the future. Instead of using it for anything interesting, ultimately it was used to create reality TV essentially.

If you can't see what's going on in the six-dimensional folded space of the Calabi-Yau manifolds, then really what's the point? Might as well just watch analog TV through binoculars… /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

All joking aside, if you could somehow take a picture of all the electrons in a speck of dust, you would die of old age before you could look at them all.

It is a cool idea, and I wonder if you could adapt the detector tubes from an MRI machine to scan a room for residual energies. Not on an individual particle scale, but maybe a larger pattern.

I fart, therefore I art.

I understand what is being said but at this point I would think it might be a waste of time and money.

The main reason for me is that the common belief is that ghosts were once people and the belief is that ghosts are just a person’s energy/life-force in different form.

I see and hear a lot of people say how spirits manipulate energy, etc. and I always wonder how can they do this if they couldn't and didn't know how in life? Where do people get the idea that spirits/ghosts can manipulate energy on purpose?

Basically, if you could build this type camera. How would you know you would see what was said above?

I think it would be exactly like a video EMF detector and prove the same thing. Nothing, since there is nothing that shows an EMF detector shows any spirit activity either but that's another forum post…

No offense, I hope they can afford to experiment some day. I am just practical and logical and gadgets that beep and light up occasionally just don't show me anything connected to the paranormal. I just see them doing what they were created to do. Don't get me wrong, I have all the gadgets, tried them all and put them in storage. For me they showed nor proved anything but what they were intended.

I myself do not believe ghosts and am interested that you do not beleive they are 'energy' either as this seems to be the next most commonly held belief. What in your opinion are 'ghosts'? Im not looking to be critical here im just interested in your opinion. If you have posted on this before please could you point me in the right direction. Thanks. /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

For millions of years mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination.

Didn't MacGyver build one of these back in the third or fourth season with a toilet paper roll, a stick of gum, a piece of aluminum foil and a box of matches?

Wait that might have been something else.

Not sure if you meant me or not?

I may have commented on something similar in the past but don't remember where. I am always researching and always looking for answers. I am especially interested in what people believe and want to know why they do believe certain things.

I didn't say I didn't believe ghosts were energy. I think I said, I believe they are energy in different form and the same energy that we possess in life. What I don't believe is that these gadgets that everyone uses detect ghosts.

I mean, if an EMF detector could detect the life force or energy of a ghost and that energy is the same as it was in life. Then you could hold up an EMF meter to hundreds of living humans and get base readings for what you are looking for. Then compare those readings with what you get while ghost hunting. That's research. I have tried to get readings from people but get nothing and even if you could it wouldn't be accurate as most hold it and it would be reading them instead. Not to mention that an EMF detector will react almost anywhere for no apparent reason. The only other alternative is to get a ghost and take base readings from it but then what's the point since you now would have a ghost. Besides, people usually implement EMF detectors while doing their dark time ghost hunts and can't tell where the readings were omitting from anyway.

I just don't see the practicality or logic using these unproven gadgets in actual research. They do however, make things exciting when they beep and light up in the dark while ghost hunting and it looks like fun for the thrill seekers and hobbyists.

Thanks for that Ghostbreakers. The question was aimed at you, however i dont know what happened to the beginning of my post. /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> Bit of a typo. My beliefs are pretty much the same as yours. I dont believe that ghosts are a persons spirit as such but that they are some sort of energy as in a 'life force' which we all posess. Im also very sceptical of the use of EMF detectors. GH seem to have started a craze with the K2, there are vids all over the net of people making contavt through the use of a k2. I just dont buy it.

If anything, I feel devices like this would clear any question of ghosts being any type of energy as science knows today. Then maybe we could put away our EMF detectors except when needed for what they were intended.
