Price is great also. I may have to look into that instead of what I was going to buy.

If you are technically inclined, Paul Bradford released the plans and a how-to page on his IR illuminator as well…I'm having trouble accessing his site, so as soon as it's back up I will post the link.

regards

Andy

I've built some if these and failed a couple times trying to get the right configuration. This phantom lite is the way to go for hassle free light and It gives me time to build other things

For the price of one of the Sony models, I can get two of these. I just need the spousal unit to give me some money now.

Hi Everyone My Name is Randy and I own/run Phantomlite.com Its nice to see parachasers started a thread on my lights here! I have worked really hard on these lights for a couple years now just to get them where they are today. Countless amount of hours and everything else that goes along with it…I stand behind my lights 100% to be better, last longer, light up more, than any other commercial illuminator! And to be able to take them any where with a 9v battery in your pocket you just can not beat that… If you have any ?s just ask i will get back to you asap!

Randy

OK, we've got Chris' (Parachaser) and Chad's (Sithy) field test reviews of the Phantom Lite in the July issue of Paranormal Underground magazine. Check it out!

Paul Bradfords Creepy Hollow Illuminator is the only one Ill use. Ive now got 3 for my team they are the best on the Market, and the cheapest. They are fully built so you dont need to solder or anything.

I heard he had to remove the plans and kits because other people started using them to build their own and sell them to make a profit.

I recommend any of Pauls illuminators to anyone looking for an excellent product and really great customer service.

Hers the site: http://creepyhollowgear.com

You wont be disappointed

I have to agree wholeheartedly. I built 2 clones based off of the design Paul posted and am very happy with it. Those triple-chip 10mm IR LED's are simply amazing. Never again will I use an HVL-IRM. lol…

That is sad that people on ebay are trying to make a profit off of Paul's generosity. I can't say I blame him if he removed it. I think I have a good idea of the offending party that is building them for profit, via an ebay search.

IR and UV illuminators are hot topics these days, within the past several months we have newcomers to the market from Phantom lite and Entity Electronics. I love the spirit of innnovation that keeps new and useful products coming..

regards

Andy
