Well today I picked up a new camera to try out on investigations. It's a Panasonic PV-SD4090. It has a great 3x zoo and is a whooping 1.3 megapixel. It takes floppy disks for media storage. I can't wait to try it out.

Ok, so it's an old camera that survived the fire that claimed my parents' house three years ago. It's been sitting out in their storage shed all this time. Figured I might be able to put it to a good use. I figured I'll see if I can take it apart and remove the IR filter lens and make it an IR camera. I just need to find a place that still has floppy disks. I have some in a tote in a garage so I'll give it a shot. Plus I'm not out anything really in this experiment.

I was like, what? they still sell cameras with 1.3 megapixels and use floppy disks- I was in a time warp disorientation zone for a minute there. Actually, I think that is awesome that you can find a way to use this camera. New is not always better. Good luck with the IR transition thingy.
