Wow, even Donna gets in on the action here. Must have nothing better to do: /dry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Donna LaCroix from TAPS that was present during the filming of the Manson Murder episode writes the following about the K-II EMF meter:

"I'll tell you it was mind boggling. We all sat there trying to logically figure it out how it could be done (pressure of thumb, remote control, etc.). We tossed alot of ideas back and forth, but couldn't debunk it. I still can't to this day. We asked alot of personal questions (that weren't aired) that were consistently and truthfully responded to (some quite embarrassing). I could see if there was a 75% accuracy rate, but it was up there around 95%. Right before I started asking my question, I got a sharp (liken it to a needle going through my thumb where I had it on the control) pain, and almost dropped the device. I was told this is a regular thing when the spirit is trying to connect with you. Anyways, that's my take."

~Donna

I also love this line: "WE ALSO GIVE YOU SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARANORMAL USE!"

Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try.

That which is unchallenged and exercised as habit rapidly becomes ritual.

When this occurs, dissent becomes an object of surprise, if not resentment.

"couldn't debunk it"…

Hell, I wasn't there and I can say with great certainty that it was RF manipulation. FRS walkie, alarm key fob, even sending a txt via a GSM phone would replicate those results. If they couldn't debunk it, they weren't trying very hard at all. I hate that meter, it has no RF filtering. This was the episode that started the lemming-like popularity of the k2. The mentality that "If GH uses it, it has to be good" was never so fully realized as with the k2. Meh.

They also use the Sperry 200A, a rather boring looking frequency-weighted AC meter. It is a good, rock solid meter, but you don't see people running out to buy it since the k2 hit the scene. No pretty color lights I guess.

Seriously, though I was wondering if there is a device that one can use to find out where the high EMFs might be in in my home. I know that the high EMFs are usually in the areas with exposed wiring or where there is a fuse box but I thought it might be good to know if there are any other areas in my home that might be high. I'm not interested in colored lights or interacting with spirits, just curious where the electrical may be causing high readings. Any suggestions?
