So I just made myself a little pocket-sized ghost box for about $20. Complete instructions are on Inside the Box's website, which is a great ghost box website. (http://www.insidetheboxrtscgho…..5hack.html). It's called a Jensen SAB-55 hack (or a Halliday Hack). I bought a little Jensen SAB-55 on eBay for about $15 (http://stores.ebay.com/Gadgets…..dZ25523854). Took out the screws, clipped the purple wire and put the little radio back together. Then I went to Radio Shack and bought some tiny foldable MP3 speakers on clearance for under $6. They plug right into the radio. It took me about five minutes (minus the drive to Radio Shack), and the result is a tiny portable ghost box. I can carry the whole thing in my pocket. With all of the equipment to carry, this is a perfect solution if you're looking for an inexpensive way to try out the ghost box.
