My weekly check of digitaldowsing.com reveals that Mr. Chappell has closed up shop. Only product still available for purchase is the Ovilus, and it's last shipping date is the 22nd of August.
This sucks, I mean I understand that Bill can only do so much as a 1 man operation, but I hate to lose out on all the good ideas he has come up with. That being said, life has to take priority sometimes.

I suppose I should be bummed, but the SpeakJet talker box I built from their kit hasn't given us jack in the way of EVPs, although it's been at least as effective as the Tennessee Spirit Mike. At least with the SpeakJet kit I got to refresh my soldering skills.

I know APART of Washington has had some interesting results with the speakjet.

A.P.A.R.T. of WA uses something a bit different than the talker kit that Digital Dowsing sold. Rob Fitzgerald of the Dead Science podcast created the SpeakJet, which is what A.P.A.R.T. uses. He then gave the plans to Bill Chappel, who created the Talker Kit. A.P.A.R.T. uses both, and according to Regan and Vinnie (who I hope will correct me if I am wrong), they have quite different results on the original SpeakJet and the Talker box built with the Talker kit.

Hey guys, i've been away for a long time – but I found this thread and wanted you to know that DD is not dead. I was able to speak with Bill on the U.S.S Hornet in Alameda, Ca this summer and he told me that he was taking the company into software development only. Particularly working on iPhone applications. DD released the first new product this week. It is an application version of the Ovilus called iOvilus. So far I am impressed with it. Just wanted you all to know /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

kinda makes you scratch your head. I'll bite though. Always a sucker for gadgets… I am just wondering if there will be an afterlife spam filter. I can see the ads for demonic male enhancement…refinance offers for your lake-of-fire side bungalow, and Sham-wows.
