I agree and asked about it. They said pretty much it's not necessarily for someone with only point and shoot experience. However, it shouldn't be difficult for those who use dSLR's with different lenses already. You would still have to adjust your lens as you would if you were taking a normal photo. Also I must mention that it is a Lens Attachment. It screws onto the lens itself as would any lens protector etc. They are now also working on an adapter for video etc.

I am still kind of curious/excited by the concept but am balking because of the price. If it were an actual lens w/attachment instead of just an attachment then maybe I could justify the price. Decisions, decisions…

I'd like to see this for video. I think it would only have to swivel left to right 90 degrees and you could cover an entire room. It would be nice to be able to see what was happening in another part of the room at the EXACT same time a video was shot. It could definitely debunk or prove a lot of shadow videos.

I was asked a couple questions on another site so I thought I would explain here too. I just cut and pasted my reply from there.

It is an addition to your existing lens for a regular dSLR camera that takes an instant 360 degree photo. I can attach it to my camera. It works like any other lens. As soon as you click the shutter you have a 360 panorama photo. No more time than it takes to take your regular photos. If someone can snap off photos as quick as they can depress the shutter button. It will take that many 360 photos. If someone had an IR still camera, I see no reason it wouldn't work too. You may need an adapter. They are also working on it for video.

It's aide to paranormal investigation is that too many times people say they saw something out of the corner of their eye, etc. but couldn't catch it. This would eliminate that because all you have to do is depress the shutter button when you hear something with out having to turn to find where it is coming from. This would also eliminate the need to take many photos of an area when now one will do.

I now use a double camera outfit for this but it only affords me a photo to the front and behind me. Depending on the angle I set them at.

As far as using it in 0 light or with an IR camera. I don't see that as necessary. More than 90% of paranormal experiences happen during the daylight hours or at night with the lights on. The idea of ghost hunting only at night with the lights off is a Para-entertainment ploy to make things look exciting so I understand some people thinking this is what you are supposed to do.

For the few of us that actually investigate, to do so, only at night, would show to be amateurish at best. ( no offense meant to anyone) I understand people can be touchy.

So, although I don't recommend everyone run out and buy one, I see it as becoming a valuable tool for Paranormal Investigation or Ghost Hunting.

It takes a single 360 instant photo. It's a lens that I uses 360 degree reflection as I understand it. Then you load it on your computer with the software provided which turns your photo into basically a virtual tour of where you took the photo.

Click on the photo in the original post and it will take you to the site.

I have to agree. The more I look at it the more I like it. Sure would take care of those things you might miss out of the corner of your eye on investigations. You know what I mean? You always hear someone say; "What was that?" With this all you have to do is click the shutter when you hear something behind you, etc.

The company even rents them. I may have to to start rummaging around for stuff to sell on eBay to get one. lol
