Why Ghost Hunt in old abandoned buildings?

GhostBreakers, I believe people have been "hunting" their family members for many hundreds if not thousands of years. How far does the seance go back in history?

As for the abandoned buildings, cemetaries, etc…it seems that all those hunters are stuck in that mindset of tragic events or other emothional attachment. My house is certainly not historical (under 100 years) nor is it abandoned but there is activity here. Noted by several people other than myself. I wouldn't "hunt" it looking for family, since none of my family died here, but it is on the top of my list to have investigated.

Not to say that I have had a bad life by any measurement, and the last five years have been pretty good, but I hope that I have an all new experience after my physical body expires. If I ever decide to revisit this plane…I'll be at Two Doors Down in Maryville, TN having a cold one with the Dixie Werewolves!
