We can offer no help or suggestions on a proffesional level. The only sites so far have been historic

and only of interest to Samuel and myself. The accumulation of experiences and evidence are solely for our

sake and the interest of the property owners. I would love for my passion to cross over into a kind act of

volunteerism but without the knowledge to counsel or make recommendations it will stay just a hobby.

Nicely put. I think that if I got into doing anything active in the paranormal this is probably how I'd operate. Being largely unknown, I'd hate to make assumptions when people expect hard answers to what they (and I) don't completely understand.

I agree with Regan and Ryan. American Paranormal Investigations' primary goal is to help our clients. While we have gotten some incredible photos and EVPs--evidence isn't our primary goal.

It's helping people. A number of us on the team are social workers by profession -- that background has come in handy on many cases. If our clients ask for it, we can help with grief counseling.

I investigate for me, and to assist the clients. I am not seeking the holy grail of evidence; whatever that may be.

I know my abilities, I know what I have seen and done, I know that there are spirits seeking help. That's "proof" enough for me.

This here I agree with. I only investigate to prove the paranormal to myself and my client. I know any method done by any paranormal investigation group could be picked apart by a scientific group so I'm not going to worry about that. It's just like in paramedicine, I'm here to help this patient at this time, not the whole world all the time.

It use to be in the past that "stories" of hauntings were good enough. It would be passed down from one generation to the next. Neighbor to neighbor. Books written, movies, people would visit the sites. Investigations are fairly recent. Around the 1950's and at that time mainly done in the daytime. Even with the most recent investigations being done with equipment and during night shift hours. It seems to raise more questions then answers. And, do you really believe you can help, by doing these investigations?
