My son saw the commercial as well last night and asked

me what it was? I just told him that is why we live on a

small island. He asked how that would help and I started

laughing and told him I was sure it was an advertisement

for a new movie, kinda like the recruiting commercials for

Storm Ship Troopers. Still the commercial was apperently

real enough to get his attention. I guess the older we are the

more numb to "end of times" predictions we become.

Heehee. It's a pretty interesting Website. They lured Chad in on MySpace. It took some convincing until Chad finally believed me that it's a viral ad campaign for a movie, called 2012. They did a good job though on that site. Looks pretty legit!

I saw an interesting commercial tonight while watching GH. It advertised the Institute for Human Continuity or IHC. I will preface anything further by saying I have not checked out their website. They talked about a lottery so that every human has a chance for survival. The site is http://www.instituteforhumanco.....nuity.org/. I believe, as does my husband, that changes are coming. (actually they are starting now) These changes for some will be The End of the World As We Know It. If it takes three more years for the powerful to be come the Infinitely Powerful and the others to become (or RE become) the Huddled Masses I will be horribly shocked. It is coming pretty fast.

I don't know. I guess people say they see change, but I still haven't seen it. Same old world, with the same old good and bad stuff going on to me. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough though.

Yes, I do mean the earth's axis. Not really a follower of revelations but from what I've read & seen happening lately I don't feel it's too far-fetched. Something is definitely coming (a change.)

In aerospace, we calibrate compasses once a year because the earth's axis is always moving (always has) so that we still have North and True North. Sure the axis is moving, but nothing in physics shows that the earth is going to suddenly flip that I know of. Sure eventually south will be north, but that's a long, long time away and gradual.

I don't see it as anything significant happening. Where is the proof? At best there is guessing because a Mayan/*tec calendar denotes the end of an age, likely a celestial age, such as the Age of Aquarius for us (they would have their own constellations or some other astrological clock obviously). Furthermore, didn't that civilization think that they were constantly on the brink of the end of the world?

From what I have heard, it is not only the Mayans but also I think it was the Chinese that marked that date as well. I do not know what will come if anything. I do know that we are very unprepared for any major changes. The Mormons believe to have a 6 month stock of food and water on hand at all times. If there is an environmental change, perhaps it would be prudent for the rest of us to be a little more prepared in all aspects of our life. If there is to be a change, I don't think it will be good. Everytime I hear someone say that it is going to be a good change, I think of the stripper(exotic dancer) on top of the skyscraper with a sign saying "Welcome make yourlselves at home" in the movie Independance day. /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':unsure:' />

A Doomsday? I don't know. In my life I have at times been horribly crippled by fear...of ALL KINDS of things. I chose about 5 years ago to divest myself of those fears and live my life with as little sorrow, fear etc...as possible. I will continue on my path as long and as well as I can and if I go in 2012 it will be with the knowledge that I have been true to my husband, kind and caring and nurturing to my Mother, and loyal to my friends. 'Nuff said.
