I really just tried to pick the ones that spent the most time on my Walkman and Discman when I had a desk job! Actually anything by John Hiatt can be plugged into the John Hiatt slot, as well as anything by Queen or James Taylor.

The soundtrack from Immortal Beloved is definitely on my favorite soundtrack top ten. Also there put Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back and Jurassic Park. Love, Love, Love John Williams! (and these all sound great on my Bose stereo in my car. The biggest reason I bought the car!)

I do alot like Cusack in High Fidelity. Now, I could pick a category and then plug in favorites!

As mentioned above in terms of double cds, it's a tough call in the "cd era". Alot of vinyl that was originally released as double discs can be reduced down to a single cd now, I think The Who's Tommy is one of them and Lynyrd Skynyrd's One more for the Road are two noteworthy casualties. But here's a list of dbl discs that I think are decent, these are NOT box sets and are in no particular order:

	The Who - Quadrophenia

	Pink Floyd - The Wall

	Pink Floyd - Ummagumma

The Band - The Last Waltz

	Led Zeppelin - Physical Grafitti

Allman Bros. Band - Live at the Fillmore (aka Live at the Filmore East)

Smashing Pumpkins - Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness

	Beatles - The White Album

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium

Frank Zappa - Best Band You Never heard in your life

Frank Zappa - Shut up & Play your Guitar (actually a triple cd)

	Frank Zappa - Joe's Garage (Acts I,II & III)

Frank Zappa - Us & Them

I love covers, too. Some are better than orginals to me.

What comes to mind, Dylan's Like A Rolling Stone. Greatest song ever! But, like it better by the Stones. Love their rawness!

Quadrophenia, great album. Vedder's version of Reign O'ver me excellent! Not a lot of difference, but he has the energy of the Who when they were young! And the voice!

	Excellent cover!

DMB's cover of All Along The Watch Tower is haunting different and wonderful.

Annie Lenox has an album of covers, called Medusa. The Clash covers she does are great!

Black Crowes do a great job of Zep covers.

	What are your fav covers?

I was listening to The Billy Elliot sound track today. Forgot how good T Rex was! /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Well I LOVE Annie Lennox...she could sing me the yellow pages and i'd get all giddy. I love that song into the west she did for the Return of the King soundtrack.

Quadrophenia is one of my favorite albums and can't believe I forgot it...but it would definitely make my list for greatest dbl albums....

	Cover tunes:

Clapton's Cocaine & After Midnight, Skynyrd's Call Me the Breeze originally done by jj cale)

Master's of War - Eddie Vedder @ the Bob Dylan anniversary show at MSG!

Young Man Blues - The Who (mose allison)

Summertime Blues - The Who (eddie cochran, i think)

Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower (Dylan),
