Kim Jung Il the despotic communist dicatator of North Korea has finally passed on…it was inevitabar (for whammies) and there's been a deluge of pictures coming out of North Korea showing people crying in the streets and what not. So I've been looking at all this and noticed that alot of these pictures were of actors and actresses with the national theater troupe. Found that to be quite interesting. Also of note, the chubby son who's going to be taking the reins (presumably) is also the one most of said was responsible for that rocket launch into South Korea about 6 months or so ago. There was also a missle launch this morning not long after the news broke of "the dear leader"'s passing.

Fear not fellow pugsters I've got some really excellent pictures to post and will do so as soon as i've got them organized so stay tuned.

I didn't feel this horrific human deserved to be in the RIP section of our board. Anyone who's starved his own people and redirected most of the funds and resources of his nation to his military and nuclear aspirations does NOT deserve our respect. Just my humble opinion.

Is anyone else following the story of the Concordia sinking in Italy?

This story just gets worse and worse. If half of what I'm reading about the captain's actions are true, this guy should be hung. First he insists that he was the last person on the boat, despite being SEEN by many people in a lifeboat and on shore while rescue efforts were still ongoing. Now he says he fell into a lifeboat. Really? Did his second and third in command also fall into that lifeboat, because they were in there with him.

I only read about initial reports of the sinking. It doesn't sound good!

40 dolphins washed up dead in Cape Cod. And 12 girls from the same high school starts having symptoms that are simular to Tourette Syndrome. The "professionals" are saying that they had an overly stressed episode that would be compared to mass hysteria. Which I think is a load of krap….. /dry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />

It seems like it would be something environmental causing that type of thing instead of mass hysteria!

Its amazing what some people think at the time. I mean really…did this Captain think it was ok to jump ship? He probably paniced and than said "Oh cr@p! Maybe I should have stayed on board." There's more to this story about him, his crew and what really happened that's going to come out. I wouldn't doubt that he had some unauthorized person on the bridge and let them steer the ship.

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

There is a synagagoue in NYC which has, over the years donated left over food to homeless shelters to feed hungry homeless people. Mayor Bloomberg has put a stop to that because, get this, the sodium contant of the food can't be determined. So Mayor Blooberg istaking food out of starving peoples mouths simple because they might just get some elevated salt in their food.

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

Oh that's really intelligent……let's not feed them so the starving peoples salt intake isn't too high.

What the h*ll is wrong with this country???????

Nothing like Micro managing….not to be confused with micro brewing…which I approve of whole heartedly.

What's the expression, absolute power corrupts absolutely?

How about that Harlem Target store parking garage abomination? Those two little sociopaths need to find out about Hammurabi's code first hand, they need to be sterlized and they need to be on the hook for all that woman's financial issues stemming from this. What a complete travesty of the justice system. She's a bigger person than I. I'd have to put a contract out on them.

Good ole Mayor Bloomberg (Thank God I don't live in NYC) feels that he knows whats right for everybody. He's an ex-smoker so therefore everyone has to be a non-smoker. And while I was coming online heard on the radio that he is spending his own money for commercials in other countries to get them to stop smoking. When this guy is called on his nanny state views he starts whinning that people don't know what good for them but he does. I sure miss the old USA where I still had some freedoms…Oh did I mention the NYC city council banned smoking in all parks and beaches? So if you visit the City and are walking through central park you can't light up a Marlboro red but hey…that junkie over there can stick a free needle he got from the city into his arm to shoot up some heroin.

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

Really? Free needles? No free smack?? Cuz that right there would be the real deal. Ex-smokers are the worse, trust me I am one but I'm not as militant as some. Personally, I don't care if you want to smoke yourself to death, but I'm conflicted about what the government's role in all this should be at this point. I think if the government is willing to accept the tax money for/from the tobacco industry than a % age of the money should be set aside to handle issues that pop up….that having been said, in THIS day & age when there is NO MYSTERY about the long term effects of smoking on the body and the impact on those around them, i don't have a lot of sympathy for people when they get ill as a result of this form of self mutilation. It's a brutal habit to be sure and it was an incredible fight to kick the coffin nails, but it can be done, but like all addictions, if the person doesn't want to change…no amount of social pressure is going to make them change. If they're willing to stop selling cigs in NYC then it's cool to ban the things, but you can't have it both ways.

It IS sad to see our personal freedoms dissipate there isn't much left at this point and I think with the general public's increasingly violent reactions to the government's disconnect from reality will really force this country down the police state route. I see where they're going to start using those little drone things to start policing certain areas of the country…it's scary

I am a semi ex-smoker. I gave up the coffin nails but took up puffin on a pipe. Its been about 2 or three years now w/o a cig and I realy don't miss them. I've only had maybe 3 people who couldn't stand the amell of the pipe but hey….
