did you work with him or just the manuscript? what do you think of the verdict??

I worked with him, as well. I don't know how I feel about the verdict – but then, I've heard Michael's story – I've talked with him about it extensively. This is a man who lost everything. His take on it is very different than the news stories. Mostly I feel sad for everyone involved.

Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love's daughter Frances Bean is to make her singing debut on a track also featuring My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way, Andrew WK, and Weird Al Yankovic.

Seventeen-year-old Cobain sings on "My Space," which will appear on the eponymous debut album by Evelyn Evelyn, who are made up of Dresden Dolls frontwoman Amanda Palmer and Seattle musician Jason Webley.

Other acts on the track include Tegan & Sara, ex-Hold Steady keyboardist Franz Nicolay, Margaret Cho, Eugene Mirman, and various members of Mindless Self-Indulgence, reports Twentyfourbit.com.

The album Evelyn Evelyn is due to be released on March 30.

In December, Courtney Love lost custody of Frances Bean Cobain.

Amanda Palmer's version of acoustic solo version of Creep on the ukele (sp?) is amazing. Couldn't find any decent true video

the trial for Mark Becker started this week. He is the guy that walked into the weight room and shot coach thomas last summer. Not only is my daughter a friend of Mark, coach was her teacher and helped her graduate on time. She was also called for jury duty. She was, of course, dismissed, but seeing Mark that day really upset her. This is so hard on all of us. we live in Mayberry for god's sakes. they did find a jury here in butler county and that surprised me. I dont like to watch the court proceedings it bothers most of us around here.

I sort of live nearby and work in this area. The mayhem usually transpires in Richmond then spills over into the neighboring towns. We had a fatal stabbing on our work property around the holidays. Then a week ago a drive by shooting where a woman was killed up the street from the job. Word on the street was that this woman MAY have been a parent or supporter of one of the local gangs (we have so many who can tell) and that there would be retaliation…then yesterday came this:

2 hurt in shooting at Calif. church

Associated Press

RICHMOND, Calif. – A man opened fire during a church service in the San Francisco Bay area yesterday, wounding two teenagers.

Richmond police Sgt. Bisa French said three men in hooded sweatshirts walked into the church about 12:30 p.m. yesterday. One of them fired a gun, hitting a 14-year-old boy in the shoulder and a 19-year-old man in the leg. Both victims were hospitalized and expected to survive. The three men fled, and no arrests have been made.

French said that there were about 100 people inside New Gethsemane Church in Richmond at the time. There were no other injuries.

French said that investigators believed the gunmen were targeting someone in the church but that they did not know if the two who were wounded were the intended targets.

If the cops don't get a grip and fast, this is going to be a crazy summer. I'm not sure whether I've mentioned it or not, but the 4th of july is a good time to batten down the hatches as it appears to be a favorite time for the gangs to fight, gunfire mixed in w/fireworks. Last fourth was the first in 5 years that we didn't lose power which I don't think is a coincidence.

The world news that seems to be very big right now is…global warming has pretty much been declared a farce. read all the news lately…I guess you could may your own conclusion.

Man didn't cause it…co2 continues to rise but the warming trend ended in 1995. There are quite a few articles on the subject. Worth a read no matter when you stand.

I don't know about that Seeker. It's Feb. 16 today and it's 85 degrees out. Pretty warm for winter, even for SoCal!

Well this is interesting. Prince has given the local public radio station, The Current a new song to debut on Friday morning around 7am (central standard time). Hmm, now this means I have to be awake at 7am. You can stream it if you like, using that link.
