OfflineCan't Always Get What You Want
Rolling Stones
I saw her today at a reception
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she would meet her connection
At her feet was her footloose man
No, you can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
And if you try sometime you find
You get what you need
I saw her today at the reception
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she was gonna meet her connection
At her feet was her footloose man
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you might find
You get what you need
Oh yeah, hey hey hey, oh…
And I went down to the demonstration
To get my fair share of abuse
Singing, "We're gonna vent our frustration
If we don't we're gonna blow a 50-amp fuse"
Sing it to me now…
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes well you just might find
You get what you need
Oh baby, yeah, yeah!
I went down to the Chelsea drugstore
To get your prescription filled
I was standing in line with Mr. Jimmy
And man, did he look pretty ill
We decided that we would have a soda
My favorite flavor, cherry red
I sung my song to Mr. Jimmy
Yeah, and he said one word to me, and that was "dead"
I said to him
You can't always get what you want, no!
You can't always get what you want (tell ya baby)
You can't always get what you want (no)
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You get what you need
Oh yes! Woo!
You get what you need--yeah, oh baby!
Oh yeah!
I saw her today at the reception
In her glass was a bleeding man
She was practiced at the art of deception
Well I could tell by her blood-stained hands
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need
You can't always get what you want (no, no baby)
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need, ah yes…
I put it there trying to chase Thriller out of my head. Unfortunately, you can't always get what you want….

OfflineI will not be a hypocrite and say that i didn't own a copy of Thriller back in the day. As a Van Halen fan i had to have it for "beat it" but as there were some other decent tunes on there as well, wasn't a waste of money for the whole thing. C'mon a song w/Vincent Price "rapping"??? No brainer. Alot of people are being real dishonest about buying that cd (and that hootie and blowfish cracked rearview is another that springs to mind in this respect). I think it sold 28 million in the states (Thriller that is), so someone out there bought the thing besides his immediate family! I've wanted for years to buy an updated cd of Thriller that's been remastered but just didn't want my money further feeding the crazy fire!

All Men Shall Be Brothers (Beethoven, Symphony 9)
Isn't that the "ode to joy"?
Personally, Jack Straw by the Grateful Dead has been bouncing around in my head today!

OfflineYes, Friendly's Restaurant and Ice Cream.
I believe they are just an East Coast place.
I worked there many summers had a great time and made alot of friends I still have to this day. Loooved their Black Rasperry Ice Cream and their Fribble Milk Shakes!! I have to admit, it took me awhile to WANT to eat ice cream again, fortunately not a life long affliction.
