OfflineWell Jim got this one stuck in my head:
From Team America, World Police:
Freedom Isn't Free
What would you do
If you were asked to give up your dreams for freedom?
What would you do
If asked to make the ultimate sacrifice?
Would you think about all them people
Who gave up everything they had?
Would you think about all them War Vets
And would you start to feel bad?
Freedom isn't free
It costs folks like you and me
And if we don't all chip in
We'll never pay that bill
Freedom isn't free
No, there's a hefty f*in' fee.
And if you don't throw in your buck 'o five
Who will?
What would you do
If someone told you to fight for freedom?
Would you answer the call
Or run away like a little Pu$$y?
'Cause the only reason that you're here
Is 'cause folks died for you in the past
So maybe now it's your turn
To die kicking some ****
Freedom isn't free
It costs folks like you and me
And if we don't all chip in
We'll never pay that bill
Freedom isn't free
Now there's a hefty f*in' fee
And if you don't throw in your buck 'o five
Who will?
You don't throw in your buck 'o five. Who will?
Oooh buck 'o five
Freedom costs a buck 'o five

OfflineI'm Only Sleeping
The Beatles
When I wake up early in the morning,
Lift my head, I'm still yawning
When I'm in the middle of a dream
Stay in bed, float up stream
Please don't wake me, no
don't shake me
Leave me where I am
I'm only sleeping
Everybody seems to think I'm lazy
I don't mind, I think they're crazy
Running everywhere at such a speed
Till they find, there's no need
Please don't spoil my day
I'm miles away
And after all
I'm only sleeping
Keeping an eye on the world going by my window
Taking my time
Lying there and staring at the ceiling
Waiting for a sleepy feeling
Please don't spoil my day
I'm miles away
And after all
I'm only sleeping
Keeping an eye on the world going by my window
Taking my time
When I wake up early in the morning,
Lift my head, I'm still yawning
When I'm in the middle of a dream
Stay in bed, float up stream
Please don't wake me, no
don't shake me
Leave me where I am
I'm only sleeping
OfflineWaitin', watchin' the clock, its four o'clock, its got to stop
Tell him, take no more, she practices her speech
As he opens the door, she rolls over…
Pretends to sleep as he looks her over
She lies and says shes in love with him, can't find a better man…
She dreams in color, she dreams in red, can't find a better man…
Can't find a better man
Can't find a better man
Talkin' to herself, there's no one else who needs to know…
She tells herself, oh…
Memories back when she was bold and strong
And waiting for the world to come along…
Swears she knew it, now she swears hes gone
She lies and says shes in love with him, can't find a better man…
She dreams in color, she dreams in red, can't find a better man…
She lies and says she still loves him, can't find a better man…
She dreams in color, she dreams in red, can't find a better man…
Can't find a better man
Can't find a better man
She loved him, yeah…she don't want to leave this way
She feeds him, yeah…that's why shell be back again
Can't find a better man
Can't find a better man
Can't find a better man
Can't find a better…man…
OfflineAnd of course, the greatest song ever written/recorded…..
Born to Run – Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
In the day we sweat it out in the streets of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on highway nine,
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected and steppin' out over the line
Baby this town rips the bones from your back
Its a death trap, its a suicide rap
We gotta get out while were young
`cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Wendy, let me in I wanna be your friend
I want to guard your dreams and visions
Just wrap your legs round these velvet rims
And strap your hands across my engines
Together we could break this trap
Well run till we drop, baby well never go back
Will you walk with me out on the wire
`cause baby I'm just a scared and lonely rider
But I gotta find out how it feels
I want to know if love is wild, girl I want to know if love is real
Beyond the palace hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard
The girls comb their hair in rearview mirrors
And the boys try to look so hard
The amusement park rises bold and stark
Kids are huddled on the beach in a mist
I wanna die with you Wendy on the streets tonight
In an everlasting kiss
The highways jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive
Everybody's out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide
Together Wendy we'll live with the sadness
I'll love you with all the madness in my soul
Someday girl I don't know when were gonna get to that place
Where we really want to go and we'll walk in the sun
But 'til then tramps like us baby we were born to run

Screen door slams, Mary's dress waves
Like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays
Roy Orbison singin' for the lonely
Hey that's me and I want you only
Don't turn me home again
I just can't face myself alone again
Close second.

I'm not a huge Bruce fan (which is blaspheme for a native new jerseyian) but have to say i'm burned out on born to run, great song, but I lean more towards thunder road and jungleland these days! All time favorite is I'm on fire, Trapped (cover of a jimmy cliff song I think) and Atlantic City.
