I love seeing all the trick-o-treaters, but I live in an apartment complex – so not this year. I don't know that I'll do much of anything – I'm over going out to bars, although it would be fun to get dressed up for a party. I'll likely stay home and watch tv. B-O-R-I-N-G!

The Big Wolf's band got picked up to play on Halloween, so my Living Dead Girl costume gets to go out to a big Halloween Bash! WooHoo! I haven't dressed up for Halloween in about 20 years!

I do have one tradition, which has kind of fallen by the wayside the last couple of years. I like to watch scary movies all night, and then at Midnight I watch Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Cheryl and I tried to do it long distance, but we kept falling asleep halfway through. It's not that it is a boring movie, only that when you are tired from work, and comfortable in the bed, things tend to work out that way. Well, now that I am here in SoCal, I think it is high time to get this tradition back on track. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Sithy, The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my Halloween traditions also. However, when I married The Big Wolf that got sidetracked since he usually plays every Halloween. So, he gets stuck now watching it from November 1 all the way up to Christmas! I have almost worn out the VHS, it just may be the year to buy it on DVD!

The DVD is way better. I get to play back "Jack's Lament," my favorite song from the movie, over and over again. Well worth the investment to get the DVD.

"…and SINCE I am dead, I can TAKE off my head to recite Shakesperean quotations. No ANIMAL nor MAN, can SCREAM Like I CAN with the fury of my recitations!"

Yeah, my favorite too!

LOL I even have my five-year-old singing it. She's so dramatic about it too.

After doing a book signing that afternoon, I'll go home and we'll make some stuff to eat, watch scary movies and TV shows that night and answer the doorbell to give kids candy. When you do all month doing book signings like I have done past three years (esp. for my nonfiction ghost books) you're happy to just kick back, relax and watch a good scary film.

I celebrate all month long. I started decorating last month, and will add to it until about a week before Halloween. We watch scary movies all month long, at least 1 a day, and have movie marathons almost every weekend. The Saturday before Halloween we have a costume party. We usually have a haunted woods too, but haven't had time to fix one the last couple of years. Then on Halloween we watch Ghost Hunters or scary movies all day while preparing for the Halloween special that night. We wear costumes and pig out on candy, chips, and popcorn. The first person to fall asleep gets messed with. Before Ghost Hunters were on, we mostly tried to scare each other all night.

I live out in the boonies, so no trick-or-treaters. My nephew decided last year he is too old to trick-or-treat, so I get to stay home all day now. The local law makers had taken the fun out of it anyway. You are only allowed to trick-or-treat from 3pm to 5pm. No more going until you get a big bag full.

This is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween.

I hear that every night when I work at Disneyland, since it is a part of the new fireworks show.

But I love it.

Just bought my kid her Sleeping Beauty costume and she won't take it off. She'll be sleeping in that thing even after Halloween is over!

Heidi, the task then becomes getting him to take it off! LOL
