What are you doing for Halloween?

Since this is a paranormal forum and Halloween is like our Christmas, I'm wondering what everyone here does for Halloween. I know it's still early but when you consider that a lot of people start planning for Christmas immediately after wards, I think four months is right on time.

My family (wife and two evil boys) have been going to the local zoo for Halloween. They have an event called Zoo-Boo, it's where the zoo is decorated up in kinda funny and scary stuff. Then they get the indoor buildings and make horror houses for the kids. Now it's not scary at all really. My two boys love going to it, we've been regulars for the last three years now. We dress up as whatever we want to but last year we started a theme. My wife was Princess Leia, I was Han Solo and my oldest boy was a Clone Trooper while the youngest was Yoda. This year my wife wants to do a Scooby-Doo theme so we will see.

In the past as a kid and up into adulthood, I did mostly decorating around the outside of the house. Stuff like scarecrows and other similar things went up in the yard. I haven't done that in years past, I did it for Christmas one year and caused a traffic jam on our street and almost caused my mother to have a wreck.

After Zoo-Boo, we rush home and I try to get the wife and kids to sleep so I can stay up and watch the Ghost Hunter's Live Event. I am eager for that and also GA's Live Event since I have a new more powerful laptop to keep up with things online now.

So what do you do each Halloween?

No traditions, but this year we were talking about dressing up and going to the West Hollywood Halloween Carnival. We were thinking of getting some friends together and going as the cast of The Wiz. I live close to Weho, so friends would meet up to our home and go in a cab or on the bus.

I'll have to say that I have no traditions…one of the Big Wolf's friends used to have a party every year and The Dixie Werewolves were the scheduled entertainment every year. Miss Becky always did a wonderful job dressing up the house and yard. Even the house was a jack-o-lantern! I dressed up for a few, but you can never tell about the weather here. One year it was 80 degrees the next it was 40 degrees! Very hard to gauge the makeup!

This year I have a plan: We are going to go as the Living Dead Girl and Dr. Calagari ala Rob Zombie.

If I can figure out how to post a link, (yes that is a hint for help!) I will post a link for the video. Or you can help an old Moderator and just go to YouTube and watch it! /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Do you know – I am actually not fond of Halloween. Too much candy. Too many grabby kids. Whatever we do for Halloween is centered around the kids.
