Sorry for the absence, just got my power back on. Yesterday a tornado touched down three blocks from my house destroying the southeast part of my little town of Tecumseh here in Oklahoma. It was one of many tornadoes that hit the state yesterday, all in my general area. This is the first tornado touchdown in my city limits in recorded history. My heart and prayers go out to all that lost their homes. The associated press said that we had three deaths here, but that was not the case, those deaths happened in the county west of us. I am just thankful my family and home are safe.

Oh Andy, I'm so sorry to hear about this. Very happy you and your family are OK. I can't imagine how scary it must have been.

Thanks everyone. Pretty intense moments for sure. Sorry to say that convective outlooks point to similar favorable tornadic conditions tomorrow. You can bet I will keep a close eye on it.

Glad to hear that it missed you. The wife has a relative that lives in Tecumseh, we need to check on him.

Glad you are ok. I know about the close calls. We had a small one here several years ago that stuck about a block from where I lived. Then the storm that came in a couple of weeks ago did a lot of damage, no tornado but straight line winds.

I was complaining several weeks ago that our storm season here in Oklahoma was pretty weak this year. From now on I will keep my dang mouth shut. Been helping out with curfew enforcement, as always, idiots trying to steal crap from the houses. Kinda silly, as everything that wasn't destroyed has been ruined by the rain. Still keeping us busy though. Command post is one block from my house and we still have about 50 officers and deputies volunteering night and day to help out.

One man's trash….oh cliche cliche how you mock me!!! But seriously, people can be such savages at times that it can be so frustrating. So I'm taking yesterday and so far today has passed w/out any further weather issues?

Know all about the idiots stealing stuff. My parents' house caught on fire a couple of years ago and there were people going in and out constantly stealing stuff. I tried my best to keep an eye on the house but never caught anyone.

We had some severe storms last night, with up to 70mph straight line winds and moderate hail, but none of the twisty stuff. We are settled into a stable (and wet) weather pattern.

Too bad you never caught anyone Ryan, put the fear of god into someone with that little black rifle, lol…
