Looks like we're going to lose Robin Gibb AND Levon Helm very shortly, yet Justin Bieber and Barry Manilow live on (sighs heavily)

Saw the shuttle Enterprise do its piggy-back fly over yesterday as it flew up the Hudson River and then turned around to fly back down to Kennedy Airport. When they get it aboard the Intrepid in the next few weeks I'll make my way down to it.

Went to Rasputins today (local "record" store) and combed through their closeout bins…or at least most of them and came out with 8 cds for $33. Picked up James Gang, New Radicals, Warren Zevon, Big Joe Turner, 20th Anniversary of Alligator Records (Blues Compilation), the Kinks, Southern Culture on the Skids and Tinsley Ellis. Nice score and I didn't even go through the "under stock" discs under the display cases. I almost picked up the latest two U2 cds for $2.95 each but maybe next time.

I think I might just make this a monthly thing as it reminds me of when I was a little kid going through the cut out record racks looking for a gem.

I live just north of NYC and I didn't really think it would becoming up my way. I live on the east side of my city and they flew up the Hudson which is on the west side which was where I was that day. Before I left the house I was thinking about bringin the 35 mm with the super lense but I thought, heck I'll problebly won't see it. I am still kicking myself in the **** for not bringing it. I tried to get it on my cell phone but it came out as a speck.

Hate when that happens. One of my best friends growing up had an elderly lady who lived next door to him, she was in her 70s or 80s when we were young'uns. Anyway she had pictures of the Hindenburg from when it flew over our town on it's way to Lakehurst, NJ. She had two crystal clear b/w photos you know those old school ones with the white curvy borders. You can tell that she took them in her yard because the trees and hedges were visibly in the picture. Have no idea what ever became of them sadly.

Yeah, i'm not really that upset since its going to be at the Intrepid Museum in a few weeks and I'll be able to click off a few pics of it there. Even though it was never in space it'll be a good to see it and how the other shuttles were that actually did go into space.

Heidi…yes, the Intrepid is on the west side. Can't miss it…giant aircraft carrier with planes on it,,, /cool.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

Monk…the shuttle Enterprise never went into space. It was just a sort of look what we did as NASA would show it off. Ithink all it did was the glide/landing part of the testing. But with the excemption of the DX Enterprise and the NCC-1701 ABCDEF Enterprises it never went into space. /cool.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.
