I can't find the smily faces on here…..!!! Geesh…..Ok going to go batten down the hatches…build an Ark and ask Icuras if I can borrow his wings…

See you guys in a few days if the power goes out…sooner if it doesn't…

Stay safe, check in if you can. Hope it's just a long island flop instead of another express.

We're all hunkered down, bathtubs filled with water, waiting to see how bad things are going to get here. We'll probably lose power, but as long as the trees don't come crashing down on the house, we'll be okay.

You expect to have hurricanes in Florida, but in New Jersey???

When I lived in New Jersey we'd get the after effect, a tropical storm, once the momentum was slowed. But it all depends where the storm makes landfall. I remember my freshman year in college (1984-85) hurricane Gloria hit the NYC metro area but it was only a tropical storm as it hit north of us, but vividly recall the school authorities walking around with masking and duct tape having us tape union jack like patterns on our windows in the dormitories to stop flying glass if the winds got high enough or if debris was made airborne. Heavy rains was about it, wasn't so bad considering all the hype. For the record, if I EVER hear Laura Branigan's version of Gloria again it will be too soon. This was in Northern NJ.

We're fine. We were so lucky: we didn't lose a single tree and there was no damage to the house.

We were without power for more than a week and longer without internet access, but we're fully functional again. You just don't appreciate electricity until you live without it for more than a week.

It's good to be back online again. I missed you all!

What bothers me is that the media reports this stuff. Remember when people used to tactfully ignore craziness instead of putting it out there for the whole world to see?

Look out Great Wall of China, you're next on her "list", perhaps the great barrier reef of australia is on the "too hot to trot" list as well? And to think, we thought Andy putting his wife in a drawer was strange….still can't figure that one out but OKAY!

I just wonder how the Berlin Wall felt when she married the Eiffel Tower instead of him?

I'm sure the Berlin Wall had a very dark view on all this…and let's face it, the Berlin Wall is a shadow of its former self.

Not sure if I can say this but…leave it to a crazy woman to marry a giant phallic symbol after her marriage to the Berlin Wall crumbled…
