That's pretty cool. Have fun in Plano, just drive carefully and safely and obey all traffic laws.

One of my old college roommates moved down there to be w/his family and he mentioned the police could be a bit much in Plano. Isn't that a stronghold for JCPenney?

I would like to take this moment to express my disgust at the Cub fan that threw a cup of beer at Shane Victorino last night while he was attempting to catch a flyball. Dude, you're a loser and I hope they throw your punk butt in jail. First of all only a complete tool would WASTE A BEER like that. Secondly, your actions could've caused a serious injury to the player and thirdly because you weren't a man and own up to what you did, you got your row AND the row behind you ejected. So much for the enlightened chicago fans. As a philly sports fan, I know we have a bad reputation but c'mon!

Raider's assistant coach Randy Hansen after talking

with new Raider's head coach Tom Cable.

If only he would punch Al Davis in the head while he is at it. /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

They had Bill Romanowski on the Ferrall Show (sirius satellite radio howard 101) and he was asked about that because Al Davis had wanted to bring Romo in as a linebacker coach. Romo was like first of all it wouldn't have escalated to do that level and if it had I can GUARANTEE I wouldn't have been the one going to the hospital. I've never had or seen a coach yet that could kick my a$$. Of course the Raider fans will idolize Cable for it.

Okay, Chad. I will show some Volunteer Pride in the win…but after the first quarter that wasn't actually a win. Actually, after the first quarter (in which the Volunteers gave TWO turnovers in the first SIX minutes of the game) Western Kentucky really didn't have a clue. Wait until UCLA…that will be a game! OOO! And then it's Florida!

BTW…anybody else in love with the Oregon player that slugged the Boise State guy that taunted him after the game? Can't help it. Taunt me? BYE!!

How badly is Charley Weis on the hot seat this year? Didn't know that school was such a powerhouse…Nevada? I'm not a ND "hater" by any stretch but they've been a little soft recently. I must admit that USC/ND game was decent a couple of years back (the one where Linert pushed Bush over the goal line).

With the way the ND is I wouldn't be surprised if Weis is fired if ND doesn't win a major bowl game. From what I understand the forecasters were expecting a lot closer game between ND and Nevada then what played out.

I'm surprised that Baylor won as well. I think they will surprise a lot of people this year.

No I'm not in love w/him, but I don't think it fair that only he loses his eligibility for the year. The Oregon player had been talking trash for a while and then underperformed so he should've expected to get razzed. What he shouldn't of expected was to have someone put their hands on him, that's not cool. The Boise player should have the same penalty on him, he too was out of line and showed thuggish behavior. He got what he had coming and I have no sympathy for either of them.

Monk, I think its all a symptom of the "football crazy" that Dan Jenkins has been writing about for years. People just take themselves WAY too seriously. Yes, the guy did come out minus five yards after a record-breaking 1072 yard season last year and the Boise player had no place laying hands on.

In the long run..IT IS A FREAKING FOOTBALL GAME for gosh sakes!

(That punch made for great press, though! It was on the first page of the sports section here in little podunk Maryville, TN.)

I know, it's so ugly what's happening in sports anymore. I was watching the Brewers baseball game the other day and they had a walk off homerun to win the game against the Giants (i think) and they did this weird move where when Fielder touched home they all fell down around him…HEY MILWAUKEE how bout winning a game that MATTERS and THEN you can showboat! I used to enjoy watching college athletics because there wasn't all the showboating and shenanigans, but now even that's been ruined too. I love these guys in football that make a tackle then run around the field for 5 seconds whooping it up. Because that's exactly what I do at my job. If I successfully enter an order in the system I jump up on my desk and dance around and bellow how i'm the man and cup my hand to my ear so i can enjoy all the applause and pound myself on the chest, my coworkers seem to appreciate it. I DID MY JOB I DID MY JOB WHOOHOOOO LOOK AT ME, I DID WHAT I'M BEING PAID FOR!!!!YEAAAAAH I'M GREAT……sit down Waldo and grab yourself a bran muffin
