I heard that in honor of the Oakland Raiders the bookies in Vegas are going to have a second "over under" system for penalty yards for each game….j/k. I've often joked w/the locals that the Raiders remind me a lot of the kids who go to Cal Berkeley, they think that because they go to Cal Berkeley that they HAVE to protest every little thing that comes down the road, like it's their obligation or duty. It's almost like the Raiders feel because they ARE the Raiders that they have to rack up the penalties or that it just comes w/the territory. I wouldn't be much of a football fan if I attempted to deny that there are certain teams and players that draw alot of attention from the zebras which I think is unfair likewise that there are certain teams/players that get the benefit of the doubt from the refs. Teams that seem to draw the ire of the refs? Steelers (specifically Harrison, Heinz Ward and Palomalo), Ravens (Ray Lewis usually) and of course the Raiders. Teams that seem to curry the favor of the ref/league, quarterbacks in general (Brady and Peyton Manning), the Colts, Patriots and historically the Cowboys and Dolphins. Now perhaps the "better" teams get the favor because they play a cleaner, more disciplined game, but you see enough questionable calls and it makes you wonder that maybe Al Davis isn't so paranoid in his allegations of collusion against the NFL front office and the more "marketable" franchises….that having been said the Raiders are close to the top for merchandise sales (along w/the Cowboys).

I didn't want to rub salt in the wounds of the Texas Ranger fans here on the site, but y'all needed to knock it off with the whole antlers/claw thing during October…it was deer season in Northern California, literally, the owners of my company are all avid deer hunters so we knew.

Quite possibly the best starting rotation in history.

I think so too.

But, Werth going to the Nationals has bummed me out.

Hope their pitching is good enough this year, because we certainly need help driving runs in.

Anything that doesn't benefit the Stankees is good in my book.

You know what's really funny to me in all of this, that it's not the first time in recent memory that a "big time" pitcher walked away from a huge Jankee deal…Greg Maddux did it too. And if memory serves, it was for similar reasons. I am also saddened by Jayson Werth leaving the fold and he will be hard to replace because of all the elements he brings to the table. We'll see, apparently there's a deal in the works to move Ibanez and Blanton as well.

I am shocked. Seriously didn't see that coming. At all.

Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try.

Kudos to Green Bay for their gallant effort today. They lost by only 4 points, but their quarterback was injured, and the young-un they had out there kept his kool…well until the end…But!!! what a game.

To poor New York that has not had a very good week in the sports world…maybe next week will be better… /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Green Bay deserves a round of applause for that game (and I'm a die hard Patriot's fan!). They really whooped up on the Pat's thru the whole game. I was on the edge of my seat and swearing at Tom Brady the whole time! That young QB that GB used last night did a great job. Thankfully, the clock ran out on him so I didn't have to go all stalker- crazy on my Pats!

Do you have comcast or direct tv??they have a thing called the NFL Redzone that jumps all over the league following important plays or when a team gets into the REDZONE…pretty cool if you have out of market interests….good job Shitna and the cowboys last night…the nfl just cancelled the Eagles vs. Vikings tonight in philadelphia as the Mayor just declared a snow emergency and is encouraging residents to stay indoors and away from the roads. the game will be played tuesday night…

We have directv, but we do not have the NFL ticket /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> too pricey. We ended up going to Aggieville, where they have lots of sports bars over by KSU. We even got a sweet deal on a couple of KC strips and watched our Pat's up on the big screen. It's good to be 13 and 2!

Oh well that's good…the nfl redzone is part of our sports extra package ($5 extra each month) and it just follows highlights around the league almost live no commercials, I guess it's designed for the fantasy league players and gamblers…lol.
