I have several as well:

1. art history – I've known that I wanted to be an art historian since I was 10 years old when I first learned about the ancient Romans and Egyptians. I've been fascinated and obsessed ever since. Although I specialize in 19th century American art, I am deeply passionate about art from all cultures and centuries because I continually learn about our history through the study of objects we produce. I could not live without art! (Well, some art I can live without – but that's a discussion for another time!)

2. hockey – yep, hockey. Might seem an odd pairing with art history, but I am a die hard hockey fan. There's nothing like the rush of watching a game! And, GO STARS!

3. my friends and family – I'm fiercely loyal and love them dearly for their unconditional support and love over the years.

4. music – I love going to see live music. I'm particularly fond of country – traditional country, mind you, not the pop country and the crap that's been produced since the 90's. Think Hank, Willie, Waylon, Johnny, western swing, Texas country and singer/songwriters. I also love rockabilly and good rock. Not much of a fan of pop music these days, guess that means I'm getting old!

5. books – to quote Thomas Jefferson, "I cannot live without books."

6. running – I love to run. I'm not a marathon runner, nothing near that far – but try to run 45 minutes every other day or so. It's my escape time – and time where no one else can bug me about anything – time to work out whatever worries I may have that day. Since I've been couped in the house the last few days (and will be for a few more – hence why I've been online so much lately!) with this cough/cold thing and not been able to run, it's making me slightly stir crazy.

7. life – cliche, I know, but the older I get, the more I appreciate it.
