OK guys so I need some help. My parents have decieded to fund a trip for me and them to go anywhere in the U.S. besides Alaska and Canada, and I need to know a place to go. I know that I want to be somwhere with a beautiful forest or mountain range, and I do not want it to be hot at all. Somwhere with a coast would be good too, but I mainly want to go somwhere with tons of forest and wildlife.

I guess that Whammies will be with me on this one…how about the Pacific Northwest? Coast and mountains all together. My choice would have been Alaska /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I would've said Alaska too, before it's plundered of all it's natural resources

Absolutely – Pacific Northwest – we have the Pacific Ocean, the Cascade and Olympic Mountain ranges and more. It is incredibly beautiful here.

Oh, the Pacific Northwest is beautiful! I agree. Tripadvisor is a great site, to check anything. From hostels, to attractions with prices and reviews.

A few years ago, National Parks had a set price for a time period that enabled unlimited visits. It was a good value.

Some states, did the same thing with their state parks. There was info is on their sites.

Student ID's provide discounts also.

I found the North Western Rim of the Grand Cayon, just amazing! Not as green as the Pacific Northwest, but tons of wildlife and my mouth dropped open in the beauty!

Enjoy your trip, and have a great time!

As I read sympathy's response I started to think…

How about the Great Smoky Mountains National Park? There are no fees in GSMNP and it is close to a lot of other attractions.

DUH!

(and sithy can vouch for the beauty of the park :-) )
