So, I have to keep my landline.

Oh man, that sucks. My ex bf's parents' house was like that. You had a walk a block to get good cell reception. It was ridiculous, they lived in a suburb of Philly!

Yup - that's part of why I got rid of my land line. It was cheaper to go wireless internet than have a phone line for it. What sucks is that in addition to that, I have to pay the apartment complex $13.88 a month for gas as well because we don't pay water, so all the tenants in the building split the cost for the hot water heater. If you go over your allotment, then you pay that extra. Last year, when I lived in a different building, but the same complex, and the overage was usually $4 or $5 dollars a month. I left for the summer, and when I came back, I had to move into a different building. This is the only building where each individual apartment is hooked up to a gas line for the the furnaces. So, every tenant has to pay the customer charge. The rest of the buildings in the complex - don't have to pay it. Basically, I (and everyone else in the building) are getting screwed by the gas company. And of course, the apartment complex can't do anything about it.

Moisture is the killer, you have to keep them dry.

Mine stay over a week to 10 days.

Walgreens and CVS have them, don't pay shipping.

I also bought a really good steamer, a few years ago. Love it! It was several hundred $, but I cut out all those gross smelling expensive cleaning products.

I use it, in my house, cars, and grill. I just cleaned screens with it. Better than a hose and scrub brush.

It freshens, pillows, pet beds, carpets, and I run it on dry clean items between cleanings.

I've actually been taking advantage of sales at the grocery stores and saving beaucoup dollars that way. Shopping at Food Maxx helps too. Since, I've finished paying off a personal loan, I'm helping Monkette get her car paid off so that if she does lose her job, she won't lose her car. Both of us have been very frugal lately. I'm doing more cooking then I was and laying off the take out stuff. Only sale beer for me and I've been lucky that I'm not reduced to the rot gut or coors, miller or bud...bleck!

Anything for my monkey! Actually, I just tried it this weekend in my Chocolate Cakes and found it quite satisfying at half the price of my regular Stoli Citron. There is no substitute for the Gentleman Jack though!

The Big Wolf and I have consolidated trips to town now for a long time now. Just saves a lot of gas instead of both of us making trips for one thing or the other. I watch grocery prices REALLY closely now. Example: Raisin Bran, the larger box is actually cheaper than the smaller box. Go figure. I also got the cable upgraded and price lowered and got internet service added basically for nothing just by calling and asking for a new package.

On the lighter side and makes me look a little crazy, but we wash and recycle ziploc bags.
