Bronzino's thread made me think of this.

Is your Christmas Tree real or fake?

Mine is Fake. I've never had a real tree in my whole life.

My father couldnt have a real tree in the house because

it would trigger his asthma. So all I knew was fake growing

up. It just seems so much easier and less expensive to

have a fake tree. Although I do love the smell of a real

tree /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I was getting ready to vote real, till I read your post Heidi.

Don't get my hopes with a title like that.

When I had christmas trees, they were real, I love the smell of real trees.

But since I don't know how my cat will be I have no tree.

We used to get real trees when I was younger, but since my dad got asthma, we started getting a fake one. But when I move out in a few years, I will definitely be getting real Christmas trees. I love how they smell; they just add to the magical atmosphere of Christmas!

I know how to market a thread to lure 'em in /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Love the real trees, hate getting them, and the sap, and the mess… Plastic is okay to me: it's not about the tree but what's under it! /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I always get a real tree, but my folks (where I go for Christmas) have fake one. I might try to convince them to get a real tree this year…

I go for real. I want my daughter to have the very best Christmas experience and I just don't see a fake tree as being authentic. I always had real trees growing up.

And besides, nothing beats the smell of a real tree.

Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try.

This is our families second year with a Fake tree. We actually like it because we seem to have more "fun" time together getting it put and decorating rather than freezing our butts off usually in the rain here in oregon, and then all the sticky needles to vaccuum, then buying a new vaccuum. lol

The whole family seems to have really embraced the fake tree.

I've had a fake tree now for a few years now. I got lazy. But, nothing compares to a real tree!

While both Monkette and I prefer a real tree, we're perfectly happy w/our little fiber optic infused artificial tree that changes colors.

My MIL had one of those (well, she probably still does).

It was actually really neat and the kids loved it.

There for a while it was a game between my cat and my daughter to see who will outweigh who…they were about the same weight there for a while…

believe it or not she is very active and runs around the house like a mad cat…her name is mouse…i got her as a kitten, she was so tiny, looked like a mouse, then we had her fixed, and that was the end of the story….

I had a big fat cat too /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

She was a calico, I loved her so much.

Her name was Jasmine. I had to have

her put to sleep at 15. She had a nice

long life.

Now we have a tiny cat. She's almost

5 and still looks like a kitten haha.

My cat is 15 and I think she's going bonkers because she's forgetting how to aim in her litterbox. Good thing the basement isn't finished and I have plastic under her pan.

We have a real tree. There is a tree farm about a mile or so away and my husband cuts one down. The super fresh ones don't drop many needles and smell great. Some of them even continue to sprout on top. When the cat was small, we'd secure the top of the tree with fishing wire knotted around small hooks in the wall. Kept it upright and she quickly grew out of the 'climb the tree' phase.

Eh, I got nothin'
