OfflineHi everyone.
My husband's cousin and her husband just found out that their six year old son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a very rare form of MD. There is no meaningful treatment, much less a cure at this point. Without a cure, Kyle will be unable to walk by the time he is in his early teens and dead by his very early twenties. It is a horrible disease and a horrible prognosis. But we can help.
The only hope for their son and the boys like him (only boys get it, but girls can be carriers) is research and research requires funding. Fortunately, we can all help whenever we purchase anything on amazon.com. All we have to do is go to http://www.CureKyle.com and then click on amazon.com. Every time you buy something on amazon.com and go thru the CureKyle site, amazon will donate a small portion of the proceeds to the research fund. It's a tiny percentage, but it could add up quickly if all of us remember to do it.
I know it's asking a lot, but I'm hoping you can help while you're doing your Christmas shopping.
Thanks.

Thanks so much. It means a lot to me. My husband's family has just been devastated by this news, as you can imagine. Hope for a cure before it's too late for Kyle is all they have to hang onto.
You don't have to let me know, tho, but I appreciate the offer. We are all just so grateful for your kindness.

OfflineMy heart goes out to Kyle and his family.
I worked with a boy with Duchene's. Sadly he passed when he was a Junior in High School.
There was another boy at my school with it too (same grade). They have both passed at this point,
but both their older brothers (in their 20s) are still going strong.
I pray a cure is found in Kyle's lifetime *hug*
