OMG, thank you! I can't believe I forgot to add Charlie Sheen to my list!!! My faculties are clearly ebbing.

We could balance things out by putting him on the pet peeves list AND on the "bipolar people who REALLY need to take their meds" list. Now that would be "winning"!

/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I LOVE it KK…. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Auto flushing toilets. What's the point, they flush before I'm done…. the paper thing, so I flush again.

What's the point, then.

I'll take your auto flushing toilets that flush too early and raise you auto hand washing faucets that can't seem to sense that I am waving my hands back and forth and all around. Maybe we need to have our poor bums uncovered to get the automatic public plumbing devices to work quickly. Probably wouldn't do to "dropped trou" in front of the sinks in Wallymart though, huh?

That's so funny Milo. I thought I was the only person that those dang auto faucets couldn't sense. I go from sink to sink, waving my hands like a lunatic and I still can't get them to "sense' me. I have the same problem with Ipad touch screens. Maybe I'm not really here… /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

And those darn auto flushing toilets. They are so annoying! They always flush too soon and then I'm stuck trying to figure out how to flush it again. Grrrl

I'm out on the road at accounts, and the auto thingy makes me crackers, sinks too.

I'm taking your sink water by flushing twice. /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

How does this actually conserve, don't get it. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

This story has made the web and thought it deserves a spot somewhere here…what do you think?

The dog pictured is a Pitbull Terrier. In all the stories and dogs being destroyed in this country because they "look like Pitbull Types" here is the horror that our species has caused one of these dogs. Now tell me who the monster is.

"It's the news that thousands have been anxiously awaiting – the person that starved Patrick to the brink of starvation and subsequently threw his body down a trash chute, has been found.

According to Fox News, Kisha Curtis of Newark, 28, was charged Friday with two counts of abandonment and two counts of failure to provide proper sustenance to the animal.

Curtis is the alleged owner of the emaciated dog that was found by a maintenance worker on March 16 in an apartment complex trash bin.

Patrick was within hours of death at the time that he was discovered – in fact, the photos taken initially look like those of a corpse.

Curtis faces two criminal counts and two civil counts, which could result in up to six months in jail or a $1,000 fine and community service if convicted.

Patrick continues to get stronger with each passing day. The dog has been treated by Garden State Veterinary Specialists and his progress is shared on their Facebook fan page, as well as on his own Facebook page, The Patrick Miracle.

As for Curtis, she claims that she could no longer care for the dog, but denies throwing his body down the trash chute."

PATRICK UPDATE 25/03/2011:

"(From our director at AHS) The emaciated pit bull continues his long road to recovery at the Garden State Veterinary Specialists (GSVS). He was thrown down a garbage chute at a 22 story apartment building -- minutes away from being horribly killed by a tr…ash compactor. Patrick's story has gone all over the world! Phone calls and donations are coming in from Australia, Italy, Greece, France, United Kingdom and more. The outpouring of sympathy has been overwhelming & heartwarming. Although Patrick does not go in his cage, he has just started letting the GSVS staff know when he is ready for his bathroom break. He is very responsive and affectionate. The NJ SPCA is investigating the incident (1-800-582-5979). If you would like to donate to the Res-Q Fund, this is a dedicated fund for animals that come in that require intensive care, specialized veterinary surgery and more. According to GSVS, they may sedate him next week to see what foreign body he has swallowed. Once that physical problem has been solved, they will be increasing his food intake…..and he is quite anxious for that! We are going to give Patrick a brief break over the next day or two. We will monitor the situation and we thank all of you for your generosity and concern. Please feel free to contact us at associatedhumane@aol.com for any questions.

I have the video linked here but I MUST WARN YOU, IT'S NOT FOR EVERYONE…..WORTH A VIEW.

Patrick the Pitbull…click here, not for everyone

Definetly one of my pet peeves. No pun intended. I was just reading about this in todays paper. GSVS is a very good hospital and he is getting the best of care. I just had my cat there several weeks ago.

I think all people that give any abuse to an animal should just be sent to a hard core prison and thats it !!!! This totally pisses me off !

I've been around Pitbulls and will tell ya, whoever gets that little fellow will have a friend for life and a fiercely loyal protector. It's a miracle that he even trusts people anymore.

Nilla never bit a soul, but she could be fierce and as I said, she had a loooooooooong memory. A couple of the little second cousins would come around and poke/swat her through her pen with a broom and that would drive her nuts. So every now and again she'd get loose when they were there and pounce on them, never biting but she'd pin them to the ground. It was poetic justice on so many levels. You'd be suprised how quick that kind of crap came to an end. She was the best and never lost her head. Any dog her size or bigger were fair game walking by on the sidewalk anything smaller she'd play with. She responded to voice AND hand commands together OR seperate. She was aces in my book. She had this funny move where she'd pretend to sleep under the mailbox, not so funny for the mailman. We had some headaches w/the postmaster but nothing that couldn't be handled.

Nilla as a puppy….she was about two or three months old here…i think

Nilla crashed out next to me by the computer hutch sleeping on her bed/nest…she LOOVED her little flannel blanket, it was an old flannel pillowcase that we ripped the seams on and converted for her. Sometimes we'd tie it around her neck and she'd be SUUUPPERNILLA (but don't tell anyone, it's supposed to be a secret)

her waiting for us outside to come out and play….spoiled brat

the queen of the barrio…this is her full grown, she weighed in at about 65lbs as an adult, not an ounce of fat on her solid muscle….

shes beautiful

We saw this in the news and were similarly outraged. What a sweet dog and it does seem that he is on his way to forgiving the human race for the heinous acts of his previous owner. Talk about karma, this dog is in for a beautiful life and well, Ms. Kisha Curtis will hopefully get her just desserts as well.

Maybe a small donation will be enough for you to feel like you're helping getting him off to a good start on his new life. Hubby and kitties would probably appreciate that more. /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />

/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> Or when you put several seat covers down, pull down your pants and the stupid thing flushes taking the seat covers with it…errr So you are stuck with your pants down pulling out more seat covers and holding them long enough to sit your bottom down before the dang thing flushes on you again. /dry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I agree. The punishment for abusing animals is way too lenient. Like Vick (NFL quarterback that was convicted for dog fighting), if someone is convicted of animal abuse, they should be banned from ever owning a pet again.
