No. The Simpsons are on lol.

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

(1) eat less,

(2) don’t ask for money all the time,

(3) are easier to train,

(4) normally come when called,

(5) never ask to drive the car,

(6) don’t smoke or drink,

(7) don’t want to wear your clothes,

(8) don’t have to buy the latest fashions,

(9) don’t need a gazillion dollars for college and

(10) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ..

LOL

So far, they have been really boring. The highlight was when Matthew McConaughey walked on stage! /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I'm glad The King's Speech won, that was an excellent movie!

I didn't watch but I totally agree that Inception deserved to win on all the technical categories and I really loved that the best supporting actor and actress were given to Christian Bale and Melissa Leo. I really liked The Fighter and was happy to see it wasn't just folks from my neck of the woods that appreciated this film. I still haven't seen Black Swan, I need to get on the ball!

Monkette and I watched, but it was boring. Could someone please tell these folks in Hollywood that most of the country can't understand Kirk Douglas and D!ck Clark and that they should really stop wasting everyone's time. I'm saddened that two such vibrant, charismatic ICONS have been laid so low, but enough already. I'm also not thrilled w/these folks droning on vapidly for 5+ minutes while others scarcily get a minute. Here's an idea how 'bout redesigning the show so that it's only best picture, director, supporting actor/actress, actor/actress and that's it. Give everything else on the night before. THAT WAY you have more time for the tribute section and EVERYONE gets a decent chance to say their thank yous. If someone starts prattling on, pull the plug. I think it was the whole first category w/Mr Douglas rambling incoherently and then the winner going on and on and on not knowing who to thank set us back about 10 minutes.

I watched the red carpet stuff on both E and ABC, meh. Ryan Antichrist ruins it for me…I wonder if he dies a little inside each time he has to get the knee pads on to coddle these celebs? If not, he should. Sadly, I hadn't seen too many of the films being honored. So I had no vested interest. I found the Ronald Weasley autotune love song to be funny and the opening w/Areck Barwin to be entertaining….aside from that I wasn't overly "wowed" by the hosts. Bring back Steve Martin or Whoopi…hell I'll settle for Billy Crystal.

I just can't bring myself to watch these awards shows. The downside is I don't even know what the Ron Weasly Auto Tune song or the Areck Barwin is! Maybe youtube has something. Monk, I would highly suggest you and Monkette rent The King's Speech and The Fighter when they are available. Both are excellent movies albeit totally different from each other.
