I hail from West Virginia and have been interested in the paranormal since experiencing being touched by what I am convinced was a spirit about 20 years ago while in college (no, I wasn't drunk…lol). My interest actually didn't build to the point of hunting for answers until recently, so here I am!

Hi,
I am renata. I am new to the paranormal board, but not to paranormal activity. I have had experiences before the age of 19 or 20 years of age, but nothing since, that is, not until I went and stayed in Room 129 at the Quality Inn- General Lee's Headquarters in Gettysburg (2 nights – July 6-7, 2010). If you doubt ghosts exist, stay in this hotel; it will make a believer out of a lapsed believer, like me.
Hope to learn a lot about new ways to understand the mysterious in our world. Great website overall! Oh, I forgot, I am married and have three grown children and a Schipperke (Belgian, miniature shepherd dog – they're super cute!).

Hi, I'm new too. I found this link on another forum and thought I would try it. Everyone here seems so civilized! I am a transplanted New Englander living in the midwest with my husband of 22 years. Kids are grown and the dog (a greyhound) now gets way too much attention! I am interested in the paranormal and have had a couple of personal experiences myself. I try to have an open mind and an open heart, but it gets harder as I get older. I've got to keep that awful cynicism at arm's length or it will get the best of me. Glad to be on board!
