Hello everyone! /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Congrats and good luck with the site, it looks great.

My name is Mary, and I was sympathyforthedevil at sciffy.

I deleted a few weeks ago, as the site is not my cup of tea.

I work for Foster Grant, ride horses, and enjoy my family.

My interests are paranormal (what is it) traveling abroad, and being outdoors when I'm not working.

I fall on the skeptic side, and love to read conversations and good debate about the paranormal, and am fairly open minded.

I have never had an experience, (waiting) but very interesed in reading about those who have had them.

Enjoy making friends along the way.

I have been reading PUG for awhile and enjoy it.

My favorite haunted place is Edinburgh, Scotland. I also love the history of a haunted location. /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Thank you for the warm welcome. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Romance novels have really changed over the years. I love how the different fiction genres are blending. Before it seemed it was Historical, Western and Contemporaries. Now you've got everything from futuristics, dark fantasy, mystery, ect, and one of my faves--paranormals. LOL I remember picking them up when I had read through everything else. Like you, I was really surprised at the depth of history and details they went into.

I've loved reading the PU articles. Thanks for providing it online. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Welcome, Michelle! Thanks for coming out of "lurker status" to introduce yourself! We are happy to have you.

Everyone here is very friendly, so don't be afraid to post if you have something to say or a comment to make in a discussion thread.

By the way, I am one of those 65 million Americans who read romance novels on a regular basis. They are not at all like I imagined they would be when I first started reading them. Tons of history in them!

Hi everyone. I'm J.D. and I'm the lowly science editor here at paranormal underground. Like Karen, I too do whatever is asked of me by the wonderful administrators here at PUG, and before I go any further I would like to clear something up. Karen mentioned earlier that she was asked to clean the toilets once. This is my job, but on that particular day I was horribly mangled in a terrible accident and the gracious admins here at PUG gave me the afternoon off to get bandages. They felt that my bleeding all over the restroom floors was not condusive to a professional atmosphere, so Karen stepped in and picked up the slack as aways. Thank you Karen, and thank you PUG admins for your wonderful insight in this matter.

By profession, I am a practicing archaeologist, but my interest in the paranormal began at an early age. I am neither a believer nor disbeliever in the paranormal, but keep an open mind when approaching these matters. Given the fact that paranormal activity has been recorded in the written record of every culture around the world throughout history, I believe it warrants further investigation using proper scientific methods. Today, there are many misconceptions regarding what is a proper scientific methodology in paranormal investigating, and I hope that I can help groups out there with any questions thay may have on this matter. I am a firm believer in the fact that everyone's opinion is valid, and will NEVER ridicule anyone for expressing their opinions or beliefs.

Besides from everything paranormal, I am an avid outdoorsman and love to golf and fish. I also love astronomy and coin collecting, and most importantly, I like to have fun. So, that's me. Welcome everyone, I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all, and hope that together, we can come closer to truly defining the paranormal.

Archaeology is the peeping Tom of the sciences. It is the sandbox of men who care not where they are going; they merely want to know where everyone else has been.- Jim Bishop

Pynkums…love the custom siggie. Glad you made it to the new site.

Sympathy….happy to see you here!!

JD – I think one day was a perfectly acceptable amount of time off for your bear mauling. It was just a flesh wound. Just a scratch, really.

The toilets are sparkling. Keep up the good work. I have to go back to picking the brown M&Ms out of MK and Sithy's bag now. Its in their contract. No brown M & Ms. Okay – I can understand that part, but did they also have to put in the contract that as I pick them out, I have to stick them up my nose, yell, "FIRE IN THE HOLE," and shoot them across the room into a beer bottle? That part seems just a tiny bit degrading. I'm not complaining….just mentioning it.

Well, we do allow him to keep anything extra he might find while cleaning, so it has its perks. /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

I have been involved in electronics all my life. I am very skeptical about the electronic equipment used in the paranormal field.
