OfflineWell as a newbie, I better follow the rules and sign in and show everyone what a good little boy I am. My name is Gene, I live in Delaware and proud to represent the East Coast.
/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> I am a mortician by trade, been licensed since 1996. I've always been open to the paranormal but never experienced anything. Thats not to say I do not believe, however, I do look at some things as a skeptic. Being in this field you'd expect I would have encountered something, but alas, I have not. I am married and have a three year old girl. For fun when I get the time, I like to fish, ride my softail, target practice, and hang out with friends.
I've read the past few months of the e-magazine, and have enjoyed them. I even listened to a podcast or two. I guess I am old-fashioned, as I wish the magazine was in print form so I can read when and wherever, and look back on past issues…
Thanks to HeidiAnn for the invite over….I promise to be good in this forum compared to the other forum which will be left unnamed, as we tend to joke more in that forum…lets face it, it is more of a joke in there….

OfflineHi Gene! Welcome.
Surprisingly, you are the first undertaker I've ever met who hasn't had a paranormal experience! Interesting!
Glad HeidiAnn invited you over. Enjoy. I'll look forward to your contributions.

Really? What am I doing wrong then? Is it my cologne, or lack thereof? Never had an experience, I've heard strange stories about things happening at deceased loved one's homes after they had passed…but never experienced anything. I once saw a deceased wiggle a toe and saw a muslce in the forearm move, but thats not paranormal, its scientific. Before I get asked, I've never had a body sit up on me, thats impossible, just an urban legend…. /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

I don't think you're probably doing anything wrong. Keep in mind that the number of undertakers I know are less than ten. I'm sure you smell fine.

Thank you for the welcome. Although my name is George, other labels are acceptable, except "Late For Dinner" /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />)
Well, this site is about the paranormal; so let me begin by mentioning that this is a virtual reality.

One result of our situation is that the only difference between "normal" and "paranormal" is how frequently an event occurs. If it occurs often, then we label it "normal", otherwise we label it "paranormal". But regardless of what label we apply to which event, it remains true that everything exists in the mind of the ultimate originator of this and all other virtual realities, including those which are nested inside of other virtual realities, nested inside of other virtual realities, ad infinitum.
One result of this situation is that a vehicle is not absolutely necessary to leave point A and arrive at point B, even if they are a billion light-years apart. All that is necessary is that the ultimate originator imagine that you have left point A and have arrived at point B.
For that matter, the ultimate originator is not required to imagine that you have left point A before he/she/it imagines that you have arrived at point B. After all, all of the universe is imaginary; so why not?
What!? Do you suppose it would be a strain on the ultimate originator to imagine two of you at a time? Naw. Happens often. Doppelgangers, anyone?
However that might be, a paranormal event occured and continues to occur in my life; so I will share the details in the forum, somewhere.

Welcome George.
At this point your ideas are just as good as anyone else. I have often entertained the idea that this world, the whole Universe even, is all one big illusion. Have you read any of David Ickes writings. Personally I think he is a little out there, but the idea we are living in a sort of Matrix does intrigue me.

Heck, just read up on quantum mechanics. Nothing is as it seems.
