(6) don’t smoke or drink,

(7) don’t want to wear your clothes,

(8) don’t have to buy the latest fashions,

(9) don’t need a gazillion dollars for college and

We're all fine. We are staying over at my parents' house tonight. The house got some damage, I managed to get most of the fire out. Being a retired firefighter I still keep my bunker gear around. I climbed up in the attic with a fire extinguisher and managed to get most of it out before the FD arrived.

I'll be talking with the insurance agent tomorrow and hopefully we won't be out of the house too long.

Thanks everyone for the support.

Ryan, I'm so sorry to hear about the fire. As long as everyone is okay, that's all that matters.

Any idea how the fire started?

I hate living in a hotel.

So far the house is about half way clean and most of the damaged material has been removed. A temporary electric meter is supposed to be hooked up Monday so the other restoration company can get started as well. Still don't know how long it is going to be before we move back home.

I can imagine how tough it is for your and your family Ryan. Hopefully it won't be much longer before you can go home again.
