Its going to be fun. When I was growing up, our vacations always ended up going through the southwest in the middle of August. We saw a lot of cool things, without a doubt, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I've wanted to go East for some time now, though. This will be a good opportunity. There will be four of us, so it will be fun. It will be really great meeting everyone.

WOW….they are booked already?

Did you tell them it's for PUG….since Carolyn has blocked the entire place for PUG members.

Just booked a room at The Quality Inn!! My wife and I are coming.

I did forget to tell them it was for PUG, thanks for the reminder.

Just a thought.

The CoC told me if there was a formal gathering I would need permits etc. However, a private gathering somewhere might be nice.

What about a PUG gathering at the Appalacian Brewing Company one of the afternoons or evenings? It is right in the heart of the General Lee Hotel. Any other suggestions are welcome too.

What doesn everyone think?

Ok then. Maybe Carolyn can pass the word too. I also know one of the managers there and will see what he says.

Appalachian Brewing is a great place to meet —- good food and awesome beer……..

I will pencil this into the schedule……..

If anyone is interested in camping — I recommend Gettysburg Campground, only 2 mi. west of town, maybe 3mi. from the Gen. Lee…..

Oh yeah, I forgot about camping. One of our memebrs camped at the Gettysburg Camp ground this past July while we were in town. I believe there is also another on the same road. Very easy to find. We have several cases on the road to Fairfiled and pass them often. This is looking to be a great gathering so far just from the PUG people.

We were going to go to Gettysburg in September of next year, maybe we should push it up to August? We would be towing our camper. Hmmm…

Sounds feasible since it is only a months difference and it might be even more interesting for you in Aug. You can do everything you would have done in Sept. plus meet a lot of other Paranormalists.

Plus, if my theory of spirits drawing on human energy holds any water then it should prove to be a very active weekend all over.

Weird, I just emailed my husband and he said that Gettysburg Campground is where he had chosen to stay. He is going to try to change the dates. We have never investigated or sought out spirits before but we are both interested in history so I think it will be a great time.

Well, you will be in a good place for history and if you are interested in more than just the Battle of Gettysburg the surrounding area is steeped in history all the way back to the revolution. In fact just down the road from the Gettysburg Camp Ground is Fairfield with the Fairfield Inn. I think you will have a great time.

It's our favorite campground in G-burg, we are local but stay there 4-5 weekends a year. We will probably be there that weekend also. PM me if you would like to know what sites would be the best to reserve……..

Just to ensure that I am not making a faux pas here, is this informal gathering open to all? You all have been so welcoming that I don't want to horn in on something that is being planned for certain members of a group. From what I gather so far this is quite a diverse group. So…. is there room for a couple of middle aged, curious midwesterners transplanted from New England? We are not investigators but we do like to visit places of historical (and potentially paranormal) significance.

Oh milo…..this is for EVERYONE that is interested in history, the paranormal, and meeting people in general.

PLEASE come……not all of us are investigators, I know I'm not, but I am looking forward to meeting other PUG members, and members from other groups as well.

Make your plans now………. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />
