Just to ensure that I am not making a faux pas here, is this informal gathering open to all? You all have been so welcoming that I don't want to horn in on something that is being planned for certain members of a group. From what I gather so far this is quite a diverse group. So…. is there room for a couple of middle aged, curious midwesterners transplanted from New England? We are not investigators but we do like to visit places of historical (and potentially paranormal) significance.

Yes, this is for everyone. I started this because of all the PAID conventions, etc. I thought that people might like the interaction between others with the same interests without the high prices of some of the others.

There is no formal gathering except maybe if the PUG members want to meet at the Brewing Company next to the General Lee hotel. I just wanted to get as many people with the same interests to come to one place for a friendly non stressful weekend.

No schedules to keep, no worries about missing an event or signing, etc. It is just a weekend to do as you like and enjoy Gettysburg for what it has to offer and maybe meet others with the same interests.

If you go back and read through this thread you will see links to help and we also have a Facebook presence with over 1000 people who have liked the page. So I am hoping for a large friendly turnout. I am in contact with the town also and they have given it their blessings. I hope you can make it and am sure you will have a good time. Also, there are several people here on PUG that are local that can help with things to see and do.

I was just sitting here thinking about our big trip to Gettysburg in August. I am getting so excited about this trip. My daughter is going to drive out from DC to spend a night or two with us there too! Has anybody made any kind of loose itinerary yet for the what to see and where to go? It is my first time there. I bet it is going to be sweltering hot!

I will be posting updates here and my new site and pages as time grows closer to the event.

GhostBreakers Social Site…

The 2011 Paranormal Gathering Facebook page

The GhostBreakers Facebook Fan page

There is so much to do in Gettysburg that I don't think anyone will have any trouble finding things to do but anyone can send for a

Free Visitors Guide to help them.

There are several places PUG people could meet. One I think we mentioned was the Brewery at the General Lee Inn depending on how many. If a lot of people attend we could meet in a public place like near the PA monument on the battlefield.

For first timers, I am sure we can set up a meeting place to help familiarize them with the area. I am sure anyone who knows the area would also, so not to worry.

We can discuss that here as time permits but if people have specific questions please post them here too.

Oh Wrighty, that is gonna be scary to stay in a haunted room. Are you hoping to experience something yourself? I would be ok with residual energy but I would freak out if it was an intelligent haunting. Hurry up time, I want to go on vacation, do fun stuff and meet people!!

I hear the doors don't work on that room and you have to slide in the window!
