Cali, I'm so sorry for your loss. It may be too soon to ask but once the dust has settled, will you get another dog?

She actually wasnt my only dog and I have cats as well. So I probably will get another one but not until the "herd" as mom calls them thins out (hopefully not for a very long time).

Thanks everyone.

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

(1) eat less,

(2) don’t ask for money all the time,

(3) are easier to train,

(4) normally come when called,

(5) never ask to drive the car,

(6) don’t smoke or drink,

(7) don’t want to wear your clothes,

(8) don’t have to buy the latest fashions,

(9) don’t need a gazillion dollars for college and

(10) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ..

Yes sorry. I was unable to post before now about it. Sadly she died. She got sick Tuesday and made it all the way to Saturday night. No clear diagnosis. Theories but nothing for sure. They did say she fought harder then they could imagine. They couldnt believe she was alive after the first day. Thanks to everyone

I just read your posts. I am so sorry for your loss. I can also relate to the financial struggles and the helplessness you feel when your dog is sick and you don't have the finances to even find out what is wrong. When the time is right, the next dog you get will be so lucky to have you. If only all dogs could be loved like your chessie had been. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
